Bush cant speak for himself?

Basically he was caught getting instructions from a ear peice and reciever at the presidential debates::

Even interupting his responses to talk to his feeders::

I cant believe the most powerful man in the world cant speak for himself!

Shit, if he had a wire, he wouldn't have had his ass handed to him

I'd also think that the President of the United States would have people that are capable at concealing earpieces.

For the record, I'm not a Bush supporter, I just think this sounds like BS.

I followed up the sources on that one. The image is apparently _not_ photoshopped (it's from Fox's feed). And it's possible that it is a receiver -- Bush has apparently used such technology in the past, and media have picked up the signal by mistake -- but after a lot of badgering, some journalists got an outright denial from a senior member of the Bush campaign. And most people in politics tend not to lie outright to specific questions; they simply deceive by garbling or misrepresenting the facts. So if somebody said "No," outright, I'd give it some weight.

But you can believe that, if I were Kerry's campaign manager, I'd have a radio engineer on hand just in case to detect any feed to Bush; and if it existed, either record it or jam it.

Who is he talking to then , when he says "Let me finish" ?

http://nyc.indymedia.org/usermedia/a..._me_finish.mp3

Think about it, it explains the unnatural pauses, some of the corrections he made etc.

If his answer had exceeded the time limit, he possibly could have been responding to body language from the moderator which indicated that the moderator was about to cut him off.

Listen, I'd love to believe this and I certainly don't fault you for bringing this up. I'm just representing the type of questions that would have to be answered before this could become a serious political issue.

And like I said, if I were Kerry, I'd have some people on the job tonight to detect what was going on and, if it was, _make_ Bush debate cheating a serious issue. Just in time for the Sunday papers.

The "Let me finish" occured half way thru the allotted time limit with no yellow warning light etc.

Quote:
Many people who watched the debate remarked on Bush’s sometimes-bizarre comments and behavior during the evening. At one point he angrily blurted “Now, let me finish!” midway through a long, timed answer and well before he would have received a warning light to wrap up his comments. Compounding the strangeness was that he didn’t seem to be addressing his remark to either moderator Jim Lehrer or Kerry and no one had spoken or even hinted at interrupting him.

I really hope this isn't true. I also really hope the media doesn't just slide this one under the covers. Investigate it but don't blow it out of porportion without good cause.

More fuel. Apparently one of the rules put in the debate rules by the Bush campaign was no back shots of the canidates.

He said it when the light was green (well.. maybe not, I can't recall the light color, but he had plenty of time left in his response in any case)

The "Let me finish" was totally out of place because even watching it live.. my girlfriend and I looked at each other like, "wtf? he's got tons of time left.. why did he say that?"

I give this as much credence as the silliness about Kerry's cheat sheet pulled from his coat pocket.

It's a pretty sad situation if they can't figure out that the best way to conceal it is to put it in his sleeve and run the wire along the shoulder seam of his jacket.

I suspect he might have been wearing a wire. Yet, I haven't seen a backside shot of kerry. Could they have been television mics?

also, his 'let me finish' could have been to the moderator in regards to body language if he wasn't answering the question. So he may have had plenty of time, but both candidates kept answering questions in reference to the one before it, so he may have been getting a funny face from Lehrer if he was taking too long to connect the first part (rebutting the previous question) with the second part (which usually was the related answer to the current question). I saw both of them doing this.

Or maybe kerry jamed his ass, and that's why he appeared to be such a bumblefuck.

Exactly. This is just another conspiracy theory IMO.
