Being a social Libertarian, I can't help but agree with article's views on marriage, however; I strongly diverge with that party on business issues.

Yep, Libertarians support gay marriage, no surprise there.

Well they are people too. Why not.
Religion seems to be the overriding factor in this issue which is unfortunate, since religion has become as irrelevent and extreme as to the supposed doctrines it preaches against. Indifference and intolerance are words you will hear from the church for those who don't believe, yet change the context to gays and the hypocrisy is ripe for picking. I think it's sad. It's even more sad that people actually believe such ignorance as willfully as sheep going to pasture to graze. |
Gay marriage hurts absolutely no one. No one is hurt by two people of whatever gender marrying. It may piss some people off, it may make some people uncomfortable, but no animal, vegetable or mineral is hurt if a couple of same gender people want to exchange rings and sign a piece of paper.
And it makes those people very happy. So why not? No one has yet formed an arguement against gay marriage that does not involve religion or "it makes me feel all icky". |

http://www.tshirthell.com/shirts/products/a286/a286.gif More seriously, many people are afriad of things that are different. And there are other people willing to use that for political gain. Nothing new, unfortunetally. |
Look at the other thread if you are seeking motives against gay marriage not related to religion.
