Just to be curious and maybe show us all something.

Ok, so in another thread I tried to show how the 2 parties have too much to lose if they stop hating the other.

So I thought I'd run a poll to see if it truly is just me having paranoidal delusions OR if we are all conditioned a certain way.

So please take your time before you vote and do so with how YOU honestly feel, not how someone (the press bias you follow) tells you how to feel.

I voted for the blank one! :D

tecoyah 05-28-2004 06:04 AM

Blank as well......no party affiliation, because they both suck.

seretogis 05-28-2004 06:06 AM

Both?

There are more than two options.

pan6467 05-28-2004 07:50 AM

You are right Seretogis, but we have been conditioned to believe there are just 2. The press feeds this by ignoring any 3rd party, or lif they do follow a 3rd party they let it gain momentum then work to destroy it fast so that people will only focus on the 2 parties. (IE Perot, he did form a 3rd party and it had very good ideas, but once the press destroyed Perot's name, the party fell.)

Libertarians do have a good grasp, but they lack the charismatic leader (rightfully or wrongfully a party needs a charismatic leader, not just the issues) to truly get them anywhere.

Party? What party? Mine doesn't exist yet and the two we are stuck with suck.

DelayedReaction 05-28-2004 01:35 PM

I voted for the blank as well; I'm an independent.

I prefer to go by issues, and not party affiliation.

Asuka{eve} 05-28-2004 01:57 PM

Im all for the blank party.

Yes both....as there are only two options likely to win in a presidential election.(which I assume is where this poll was intended.)

I vote Republican because "they are closer than the other party in representing my views." That's good enough for me. I don't expect any more from a vast national organization. Republicans are realists as far as I am concerned. Realists understand how the real world works. I don't expect anything more than pragmatic politics from a political organization. I don't consider my views to be the be all and end all of social existence. I accept that my own individual views are only a very small part of the whole and not so significant that I can go around and say things that I don't exactly agree with suck - or anything of the sort.
