Please accept my apology to those of you that were debating this topic with civility and grace. It was not my intent to hijack this thread. I came down on one individual that didn't understand civil debate.

I apologize for an off topic post, but I have read, and reread Bookman's posts. I find them too short and too scattered to have any real meaning.

But they were civil in tone and word. I'm not sure what the problem was.

If you applied whatever standards you applied to Bookman to most of these threads, there would be a problem.

I appreciate when admins encourage us to stay on topic, to more fully explain ourselves and to encourage us to all play nice.

Cheap shots with cheese pics do not accomplish any of those things.

I must admit that in debate in cyberland my thoughts are not the most complete.

Exactly in my opinion. you and I sit on opposite ends of US politics, but here we agree.

The perpetuation of a caste based system is hardly different from European fuedal systems of old. As such, the prosperity of one requires the subjigation of another as a base of the society providing labor and or support.

MSNBC did a rather interesting artical that got farked recently about the permeation of the internet as a source of information for Arab youth (as in 12-17yrs of age) that was rather interesting. i can't find it in the fark archives, but perhaps you will have better luck.

Yeah, it was a cheap shot. In my zeal to keep the conversation on-topic I overstepped. I apologized to Bookman in private.

My posts are out there like everyone elses. I'm not going to edit them or delete them because I don't like the way things turn out.
