White slaughter in South Africa?

Plans made to conduct campaign of genocide after Mandela's death

© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com

While former South African President Nelson Mandela, 85, scoffs at rumors of ill health, plans are being made by the nation's Communist Party to slaughter all whites in the country upon his death, G2B sources say.

One of the operations planned entails 70,000 armed black men "being transported to the Johannesburg city center within an hour" in taxicabs to attack whites.

The plans are variously dubbed "Operation Vula," "Night of the Long Knives," "Operation White Clean-up," "Operation Iron Eagle" and "Red October campaign."

Operation "Our Rainy Day" was to be carried out after the death of Nelson Mandela and would have entailed blacks being transported to the largest cities in taxis.

The assailants were expected to "take over" fuel points and massacre whites. The attacks would lead to a coup.

Sources say most blacks in the country are aware of the plans. When racial disputes occur, blacks often tell whites, "Wait until Mandela dies.”

"White people in South Africa can deny it to the end of the earth, but we are in real danger," one resident said. "This is no joke and any person with half a brain can see that this rumor has spiraled out of control."

Many whites are now convinced a vicious campaign of ethnic cleansing will follow Mandela's death whenever it comes. Some are making preparations for retreats.

"I have prepared myself and we have a gathering place where we can fortify for four weeks after Mandela’s death," said one white South African. "If nothing happens it will be a miracle."

The Red October campaign is allegedly a Communist plot to oust President Thabo Mbeki. Mbeki would be replaced by Cyril Ramaphosa.

"I was starting to think I was going nuts!" said another white South Africa resident. "'Operation Uhuru' or 'Operation White Clean-up' is definitely no rumor. I spoke to someone who told me that some blacks in Zimbabwe have also confirmed that this 'event' will take place. My cousin stays on a farm in Mpumalanga, not too far from Johannesburg. A black police officer in that district told his white colleague that they are going to kill us like flies, and there is nothing we can do about it. And that they also don't care if we know."

Meanwhile, Mandela, obviously aware of the growing rumors, last week assured the public he is well.

"My health is all right," he told reporters in Cape Town. "I'm doing very well. Others have gone further and said I am on the eve of going to my grave. If that day comes, I will go and knock at the door of heaven. ... They will look at the list and say: 'Your name is not here ... can you try next door?'"

Concern about Mandela's health surfaced last month when he canceled a scheduled meeting with visiting German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. The former president was at the time relaxing on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.

Mandela joked that when his time comes, "I will look for a branch of the ANC (the ruling African National Congress) in that world (and) I'll join it."

WND is THE website of choice for the ultra-right wing Christian fundamentalists. I actually have it bookmarked. I read it every couple days because i am always curious about what stuff Joseph Farah is going to write.

Farah fervently believes that he is right and nobody else should hold any opinions other than his own

Curiously, he has been railing on Bush on a number of issue where he feels Bush is "caving" in to "liberal" pressures.

Lastly, even though just about every article slams muslims, Farah himself is Arabic. I dont know if he converted to Christianity or is a Coptic Christian or what, but Muslims sure scare the heck out of him. I myself am not muslim (in fact, not even close) and i do tend to believe some of his stories but sometimes his stories wander off into fairyland.

Just as an aside, this thread whould probably be better suited for the Tilted Paranoia section.

To the point,

While WND isn't exactly The New York Times, there is a more than a kernel of truth in the story about whites getting slaughtered in especially South Africa and it has been discussed in this Forum before.

I also found it somewhat ironic that rense.com (ultra-left wing) would post a link to WND (ultra-right wing).

This is not a quality post.

First, it makes vague assertions that could mean nearly anything.

Then, it provides no evidence or sources for the assertions.

What does "more than a kernel of truth" mean in that context? That some white person has died at some time in South Africa?

It makes a reference to other discussions, without providing enough information to find it. I did search for "slaughter whites south africa" and came up.. with this thread. A search for "south africa" and looking at every thread title doesn't have anything pop up either.

Edit: Removed some content.

that sounds dirty.

Anyway, I think Lebell is a loon for defending this story. I mean, South Africa is planning to mass slaughter all whites? Gimme a break. Saying that there is a kernel of truth to that is like saying that a story about "Elvis being a alien" has a kernel of trush since Elvis is real.

I'll defend your right to say it Lebell. But I think if this was a liberal leaning post like "conservatives planning liberal slaughter in San Francisco" it would have been moved to tilted humor.

I wish I could find it, but there was a very good article about an elderly woman expat who wrote first hand of the brutality that was happening in South Africa towards the remaining white population.

Mind you, she didn't have an "agenda", she was writing what she saw and it was truely horrendous (sp?).

Rape and murder were common as well as a police force that didn't care what happened to whites.

So it isn't "defending this story", it's saying exactly what I said: While the source may be suspect, and while the supremecists may salivate over it, that doesn't mean there isn't truth there to be found, i.e. that there seems to be groups in South Africa that are specifically targeting whites for slaughter and that the government doesn't seem to care.

I'll try to find that article/blog.

I'll keep waiting for this evidence. The reality seems much different. In fact, many are bragging about the peaceful elections in south africa and the lack of violence.

Finally found it.

I will also add from what I've read that the level of crime is high for everyone in South Africa and that the are still large inequities between blacks and whites.

http://www.ourcivilisation.com/cry.htm

Quote:
Why I'm fleeing South Africa
by Anne Paton (widow of Alan Paton)
London Sunday Times - DISPATCHES, Sunday, November 29, 1998
I am leaving South Africa. I have lived here for 35 years, and I shall leave with anguish. My home and my friends are here, but I am terrified. I know I shall be in trouble for saying so, because I am the widow of Alan Paton.

Fifty years ago he wrote Cry, The Beloved Country. He was an unknown schoolmaster and it was his first book, but it became a bestseller overnight. It was eventually translated into more than 20 languages and became a set book in schools all over the world. It has sold more than 15 million copies and still sells 100,000 copies a year.

As a result of the startling success of this book, my husband became famous for his impassioned speeches and writings, which brought to the notice of the world the suffering of the black man under apartheid.

He campaigned for Nelson Mandela's release from prison and he worked all his life for black majority rule. He was incredibly hopeful about the new South Africa that would follow the end of apartheid, but he died in 1988, aged 85.

I was so sorry he did not witness the euphoria and love at the time of the election in 1994.But I am glad he is not alive now. He would have been so distressed to see what has happened to his beloved country.

I love this country with a passion, but I cannot live here any more. I can no longer live slung about with panic buttons and gear locks. I am tired of driving with my car windows closed and the doors locked, tired of being afraid of stopping at red lights. I am tired of being constantly on the alert, having that sudden frisson of fear at the sight of a shadow by the gate, of a group of youths approaching - although nine times out of 10 they are innocent of harmful intent. Such is the suspicion that dogs us all.

Among my friends and the friends of my friends, I know of nine people who have been murdered in the past four years.

An old friend, an elderly lady, was raped and murdered by someone who broke into her home for no reason at all; another was shot at a garage.

We have a saying, "Don't fire the gardener", because of the belief that it is so often an inside job - the gardener who comes back and does you in.

All this may sound like paranoia, but it is not without reason. I have been hijacked, mugged and terrorised. A few years ago my car was taken from me at gunpoint. I was forced into the passenger seat. I sat there frozen. But just as one man jumped into the back and the other fumbled with the starter I opened the door and ran away. To this day I do not know how I did this. But I got away, still clutching my handbag.

On May I this year I was mugged in my home at three in the afternoon. I used to live in a community of big houses with big grounds in the countryside. It's still beautiful and green, but the big houses have been knocked down and people have moved into fenced complexes like the one in which I now live. Mine is in the suburbs of Durban, but they're springing up everywhere.

That afternoon I came home and omitted to close the security door. I went upstairs to lie down. After a while I thought I'd heard a noise, perhaps a bird or something. Without a qualm I got up and went to the landing; outside was a man. I screamed and two other men appeared. I was seized by the throat and almost throttled; I could feel myself losing consciousness.

My mouth was bound with Sellotape and I was threatened with my own knife (Girl Guide issue from long ago) and told: "If you make a sound, you die." My hands were tied tightly behind my back and I was thrown into the guest room and the door was shut. They took all the electronic equipment they could find, except the computer. They also, of course, took the car.

A few weeks later my new car was locked up in my fenced carport when I was woken by its alarm in the early hours of the morning. The thieves had removed the radio, having cut through the padlocks in order to bypass the electric control on the gates.

The last straw came a few weeks ago, shortly before my 71st birthday. I returned home in the middle of the afternoon and walked into my sitting room. Outside the window two men were breaking in. I retreated to the hall and pressed the panic alarm.

This time I had shut the front door on entering. By now I had become more cautious. Yet one of the men ran around the house, jumped over the fence and tried to batter down the front door. Meanwhile, his accomplice was breaking my sitting- room window with a hammer.

This took place while the sirens were shrieking, which was the frightening part. They kept coming, in broad daylight, while the alarm was going. They knew that there had to be a time lag of a few minutes before help arrived - enough time to dash off with the television and video recorder. In fact, the front-door assailant was caught and taken off to the cells. Recently I telephoned to ask the magistrate when I would be called as a witness. She told me she had let him off for lack of evidence. She said that banging on my door was not an offence, and how could I prove that his intent was hostile?

I have been careless in the past - razor wire and electric gates give one a feeling of security. Or at least, they did. But I am careless no longer. No fence - be it electric or not - no wall, no razor wire is really a deterrent to the determined intruder. Now my alarm is on all the time and my panic button hung round my neck. While some people say I have been unlucky, others say: "You are lucky not to have been raped or murdered." What kind of a society is this where one is considered "lucky" not to have been raped or murdered - yet?

A character in Cry, The Beloved Country says: "I have one great fear in my heart, that one day when they are turned to loving they will find we are turned to hating." And so it has come to pass. There is now more racial tension in this country than I have ever known.

But it is not just about black-on-white crime. It is about general lawlessness. Black people suffer more than the whites. They do not have access to private security firms, and there are no police stations near them in the townships and rural areas. They are the victims of most of the hijackings, rapes and murders. They cannot run away like the whites, who are streaming out of this country in their thousands.

President Mandela has referred to us who leave as "cowards" and says the country can do without us. So be it. But it takes a great deal of courage to uproot and start again. We are leaving because crime is rampaging through the land. The evils that beset this country now are blamed on the legacy of apartheid. One of the worst legacies of that time is that of the Bantu Education Act, which deliberately gave black people an inferior education.

The situation is exacerbated by the fact that criminals know that their chances of being caught are negligible; and if they are caught they will be free almost at once. So what is the answer? The government needs to get its priorities right. We need a powerful, well-trained and well-equipped police force.

Recently there was a robbery at a shopping centre in the afternoon. A call to the police station elicited the reply: "We have no transport." "Just walk then," said the caller; the police station is about a two-minute sprint from the shop in question. "We have no transport," came the reply again. Nobody arrived.

There is a quote from my husband's book: "Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be too moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

What has changed in half a century? A lot of people who were convinced that everything would be all right are disillusioned, though they don't want to admit it.

The government has many excellent schemes for improving the lot of the black man, who has been disadvantaged for so long. A great deal of money is spent in this direction. However, nothing can succeed while people live in such fear. Last week, about 10km from my home, an old couple were taken out and murdered in the garden. The wife had only one leg and was in a wheelchair. Yet they were stabbed and strangled - for very little money. They were the second old couple to be killed last week. It goes on and on, all the time; we have become a killing society.

As I prepare to return to England, a young man asked me the other day, in all innocence, if things were more peaceful there. "You see," he said, "I know of no other way of life than this. I cannot imagine anything different." What a tragic statement on the beloved country today. "Because the white man has power, we too want power," says Msimangu.

"But when a black man gets power, when he gets money, he is a great man if he is not corrupted. I have seen it often. He seeks power and money to put right what is wrong, and when he gets them, why, he enjoys the power and the money.
Now he can gratify his lusts, now he can arrange ways to get white man's liquor. I see only one hope for our country, and that is when white men and black men, desiring neither power nor money, but desiring only the good of their country, come together to work for it.

I have one great fear in my heart, that one day when they are turned to loving, they will find we are turned to hating."

To be fair, the other side of the coin:

Quote:
White South Africans are coming home
Philippe Bernes-Lasserre
Posted Mon, 02 Feb 2004

They emigrated six or 10 years ago, fearful for their security and their future or, more recently, attracted by prospects in London or Toronto.

But now some are coming back. With little fanfare, but with enthusiasm, white South Africans are returning little by little to a country "that works" and a homeland they miss.

The 'Homecoming Revolution' is on the move.

It is a vibrant new non-governmental organisation, run by two young executive women who believe in the drive to persuade South Africans to come home.

For the past year, the organisation has been the echo chamber for tens of thousands of homesick South Africans, the majority of them white, who had found what they thought were greener pastures in Canada or Australia, in Manchester or New York, but who are now asking themselves whether leaving was really the right choice.

The "Homecoming" Internet site is a revelation

It hosts a constant flow of exchanges, written by those who want to return but who haven't worked up the courage yet, and whose incomes keep them abroad — professionals, bankers and real estate agents.

There is also the occasional embittered entry, accusing South Africa of going down the same path as President Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe, currently in crisis.

It is difficult to quantify the number of those returning, but they certainly do not match the number of those leaving, contributing to an acute shortage of professionals and skilled artisans.

But the trend is there, the optimism as well, said Alison Melvill, a South African who returned with her IT consultant husband after six years in London.

"In the six years since we left, people's attitudes have changed a lot. The people here now are very positive about where the country is going, very gung-ho, very keen to explore."

Angel Jones, a 31-year-old creative director of an advertising agency and Marina Smithers (32) a public relations officer, "threw a bottle in the ocean" when they launched the site a year ago with a message for 27 000 South Africans across the world.

They have been overwhelmed by people writing their stories, sometimes more than 1000 a day.

"We couldn't read everything, we had no idea that we had reached so many people," said Jones, who last year won a South African Woman of the Year award.

SA cliches

The website plays on all the cliches in South Africa: sun, space, bush, biltong (dried meat), braais (barbecues), the clear skies. These are the things dear to the hearts of expatriates facing a London drizzle or a snowstorm in Canada.

Jones, who lived in London for seven years, believes that one man was the catalyst for the idea... Nelson Mandela.

During a visit in 1996, the then president spoke to a huge number of expatriates, who braved the cold to listen to him speak in Trafalgar Square.

Said Jones: "He (Mandela) just said 'I love all of you. I just want to put you in my pocket and take all of you home'.

"The whole crowd just roared. There were people in tears, and I looked around and saw all of these South Africans just yearning to come home... That's where it all began."

The obstacles preventing people from returning — crime and concerns about job losses — are often the same that still drive them away: some 9000 South Africans left during the first nine months of 2003.

"Our message is: don't wait for the country to improve. Come back and improve it. Don't wait for the jobs. Come and create the jobs," said Jones.

"From a PR point of view, the idea of returning home had to become 'cool'."

"There is not a single country in the world, where everything is so much possible, or where any individual can make such an impact difference in society," she declares.

"And then again, we don't say to people 'don't go', we tell them 'go, enrich yourselves, get a qualification, and return and invest here'."

A recruitment firm recently rang alarm bells about the new "black brain drain".

Nurses and black teachers started to leave for Europe from 1999-2000 in search of better pay, and now it is black professionals and managers who are quitting the country at an alarming rate to gain international experience.

Whites returning, blacks leaving: A looking-glass South Africa?

Thanks for posting both side of the coin.

A discussion on white treatment vs. black treatment in south africa is an interesting topic, but starting it off with a post about an impending white genocide is like starting off a discussion about Israel by stating that the Holocaust never happened. It doesn't tend to lend itself to a rational discussion.

Unfortunately, the idea of a genocide in Africa is one with precedence.
