Are you happy?

Are you happy with the person incharge of running your country, be it a President, a King, a Prime Minister etc.....

[edit to add: It might be helpful if you post where you are in the world if it isn't in your profile.

It's misleading to suggest that one person "runs" a country. I voted "no" but consider that a "no" vote for the current federal administration, congress, and judicial system.

what exactly do you mean by "big business person"? Are you the CEO of a major corporation or something?

As far as the poll question, I voted NO and that covers all the branches of the government.

Maybe a better way to phrase the poll would have been "Are you happy with the most prominent figure in your country's government. No, I am not.

I am not happy with President Bush, the Senate or the House of Representatives. I think that overall the Supreme Court is doing their job well. On a local level I am totally embarrassed by my state legislature but think our Governor is fantastic. I also like my mayor.

Shouldn't you be out exploiting the proletariat instead of inside posting on a message board?

I am happier with the Bush administration than I would be with a Gore or Kerry administration. I would be happier if government played a smaller role in the lives of citizens but I don't see it happening. I voted yes.

No I am not happy with the George W. Bush.

Im also pretty sure that I would not be happy with John Kerry after he has some time in office.

The Congress has turned into a bunch of babies crying and blaming each other, worse so than it use to be, and it annoys me that both parties cant be civil and work for our interests.

The Supreme Court seems to have kept my good graces as of yet.

Anyways a President has a fraction of the power of that of a Prime Minister or King so when discussing who runs the country an american really should include all three branches.

I don't see how I could be more unhappy with the job Bush and the current administration has done. Though I realize that Dubya is not entirely to blame, he is merely a puppet for the current Republican agenda. If Bush the Lesser were really in charge things would probably be a whole lot worse than they currently are.

But, basically, my enmity for the current administration comes from the complete lack of honesty and clandestine manner in which they seem to operate.

I'd have to agree with this.

I should also squeeze in that i'm fed up with filibusters. Elected officials who waste time in this manner should be removed imo. They were elected to get things done, not read cereal boxes out loud.

I voted Yes. I'm content. I have a job, and all those around me have a job, moreso than I can say for 1999. It could be a LOT better... but I really have no faith in any politicians.. I'm just waiting for Governor Ventura in 2008

I started out not minding the guy so much, but it's gotten to the point where I cannot understand the mindframe of those who defend him or have no problem with him. I'm usually pretty good at putting myself in the shoes of the opposition, but I'm at a loss here. I just don't get his appeal. I guess it comes down to what you have and what kind of lifestyle his policies protect.
