Kerry won narrowly. He was ahead in the polls by up to 35% just a few days ago.
Advantage: Edwards It's now possible to imagine a scenario where Edwards can win. The Kerry inevitability scenario is weakened. We're rooting for the underdog.

Edwards could surge and just win it all by himself.
Kerry won the liberal and democrat votes, Kerry got a resounding amount of the independents and... republicans voting for him. Edwards isn't too far off from Kerry on the liberal scale. It shows, I think that we have two very strong candidates coming into this election season right now. He may get some help though. Dean had some kind of meeting with Edwards Sunday in Milwaukee about possibly throwing his support behind Edwards in the event he withdrawls. In many states, the combined totals of Dean and Edwards would have meant victory. And Deans delegats puts him within striking distance of Kerry. Theres a little bit of rumblings about a Dean for Veep in exchange for Deans vocal, organizational and base support. |
