George W's MBA from Harvard B School
They don't give them out to people just because you know someone or are the son of someone famous. You have to get them the "Old Fashioned Way". You EARN them!!!!!!!
|
You've been... THUNDERKLINKED!!!
Really, what else do you want me to say? |
Yes Bush has an MBA like every other frat boy in America.
|
Do your run of the mill frat boy have one from Harvard Business School? Does John Forbes Kerry?
|
It didn't take me long in life to figure out that hard work will help you achieve many things.
That doesn't say anything in the way of actual intelligence, though. |
not to encite a riot here, but you do realize GWbush was rejected from UT-Austin for undergrad bc his grades and acheivement record were..shall we say..abysmal....and the only way he got into ivy league school was through the legacy policy...
Basically, what i'm saying, is that if GWbush was GW smith or GW susanokovitch, he would have barely made it into college..ok, that's a bit rough, he would have gotten into college, just not ivyleague or anything close. |
^ yeah that doesn't really surprise me.
|
Does anyone actually believe Bush is intelligent?
|
I do. I think he's smarter than all of us.
Are you president of the United States? Even if you were dumb as a mule, you'd still have to be pretty smart to be able to pull that off. |
not really, look at ford, kinda fell into presidency w/out being elected...not a bad man, by any means, but not exactly the brightest in the world
also, you gotta think, a LOT of the reason bush is there..1. karl rove...2. daddy's justice appointees.. |
3. electoral process...

then again, I still have 20 years until I'm elligible |
#3 electoral process if you get it up to 2000, but then, without Karl Rove, GWshrub would be nothing more than a failed businessman.

Neither, he just got the minimum age wrong. It's 35, Halx. |
Doesn't matter what school you go to really, an MBA is still a joke of a course.

I've met many people with masters and doctors degrees. They might be book smart but they have no common sense.

Yes, clearly a man who believes that Mexican is a language and that Africa is a nation, is a very intelligent human being.

Dan quayle was only one bullet away from being president. I think bush is more charming than intelligent. Maybe that's part of his charm. I think he got c's at harvard. C's are "harvard f's" |

I guess I am not impressed with a Harvard MBA. GWB is running the country the way he ran his company. Is it a surprise that he bankrupted that compnay? Honestly, if you can balance your checkbook and stay out of serious credit card debt, you have a better grasp of economics than GWB.
|
this reminds me of an old joke...
what do you call the person who graduates at the bottom of his med. school class? president... err, doctor... |
Quote:
Yup. Just remember, there's no law that your Doctor has to tell you that he/she graduated in the bottom 1% of his/her class... |

GWB has never had to worry about paying off a credit card. Or ten. Or using them to start a business. He has no awareness of fiscal responsibility. Those businessmen you talk about understand the risk of what they did far more than GWB ever would.
|
He's a salesguy, a huckster, the kind of good ole boy some people like as the face of a company. He's spoon-fed his information, then communicates it to the public. Everybody knows all the hard decisions are made by Laura...
|
Laura? Nice try. More like Cheney and Rumsfeld.
You do not have to be a genius to get through college - even Haavad. That's a myth that Harvard loves, but is simply not true. In fact, anyone can make it through college if they go to class, turn in assignments, and do whatever the prof says. It's largely an exercise in rote repetative bullshit, and regurgitation of memorized facts - and there is NOT an emphasis on real thinking. |

I'll refrain from making a tacky statement about how that was pre-Hopwood, or that now, he probably couldn't get into UT undergrad coming from a fancy NE prep school. All they look at now is class rank, so graduating #5 out of 50 at hicksville high with a 900 SAT > #6 at a prestigious prep school with a class of 50 with an SAT of 1500. Sorry for the off-topic mini-rant. |
interesting about the requirements now. I still think that if he were GWsomethingotherthanBush, he would not have a harvard/yale education
