Edwards in the media
Is it just me, or does John Edwards seem to be the new media darling? I seem to see him everywhere, there's a blurb about him on almost every outlet I go to...I mean, probably twice as much as the current Dem frontrunner.
Now that said, Do you think that the press may have just picked their favorite? And do you see Edwards overtaking Kerry? I'm thinking that the next round of primaries, esp. in the south, will be quite a bit more interesting. FYI- I live in Senator Edwards home state, which accounts for some of it, but most of the outlets I'm referring to are national.

The media, like the democratic voters (apparently) just seem to be giving the most attention to whoever they think is the winner. Notice how you never hear anything about Dean anymore?

I see him emerging as the anti-Kerry candidate. He's the only other guy there with a decent chance of winning. Problem is, his support is split between himself and Wesley Clark. Had Edwards put together a victory in OK, rather than a virtual tie, he might be in a better position media-wise.
But why does the media pay so much attention to him? Might be because he's a likable guy. Might be because everybody loves an underdog. Might be because they don't want to give it to Kerry quite so soon!
