Look at what a good sport I am

I just ran across this and thought all the liberal Dems would love this crap.

Actual George Dubya Bush Quotes

Now I don't ever want to hear that I'm not a good sport about this kind of shit. Now I'll go hang myself.

My fav. "Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child." He's got some doosies. Some of his better ones weren't even there. You would think the guys an imbecile to hear him speak sometimes. I'm sure I would be even worse than him though. Put me in front of more than 5 people and its brain fart , bigtime. You just can't judge intelligence strictly by public speaking.

Liquor Dealer 05-02-2003 07:16 PM

He mis-speaks occasionally. But when it counts most people understand what he is saying. He has a rather clear way of expressing himself when it is important. Ask Saddam!

ARTelevision 05-02-2003 07:26 PM

all in all, one of the greatest extemporaneous speakers and also one of the most un-obvious teleprompter readers.

it's fun to get a laugh out of things, too.
thanks, six...

boatin 05-02-2003 07:58 PM

I keep telling people not to mis-underestimate him...

thanks, sixate! Too funny.

I think ther could be pages of stuff if someone followed any of us around. We're all just human, and I doubt many of the people who bash him for this could do much better in front of an audience.

Good point and also someone who defines the adage;actions speak louder than words.

Oh man that's good.

BoCo 05-04-2003 11:14 AM

He may not be a brilliant speaker--in fact, far from it--but I'm still voting for Monkey-boy next time around! :p

JoeyB 05-04-2003 07:29 PM

Am I a good american if I laugh hysterically at the monkey resemblance?

I'll await the people's ruling.

Lebell 05-04-2003 10:16 PM

Heh,

Hard NOT to laugh at that series, JoeyB ;)

oane 05-05-2003 05:47 AM

In reality, GW's speech has improved much with time. He hardly makes any howlers anymore.

The_Dude 05-05-2003 04:10 PM

and how did he get into ivy league?

oh wait, his daddy

krwlz 05-05-2003 04:22 PM

wow, i guess it all depends on the eye of the beholder. I can't even watch him speak without laughing out loud. I guess I missed all the brainwashing sessions after 9-11.

guthmund 05-05-2003 07:47 PM

I got them all on tape for you, max if you want to borrow it :)

I'm still trying to get through them myself, but I'll send you what I've finished.

The home-spun malapropism was funny for a while, but it seems that the President of the United States shouldn't really speak like this. I'm sure we could budget out the salary of a speech coach if we approved more tax-cuts and another quick war
