Pennsylvania cracks down on the internet
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/34853.html
"More than a million completely legal websites have been blocked by US ISPs in response to the Pennsylvanian statute against Internet Child Pornography. " Troll repellent: In no way, shape, or form am I advocating or endorsing child porn in any fashion. This is emblematic to me of the ease which we all can be guided by the ignorant (or lazy) simply because it's more convienent to block huge swaths of IP address URL's then to have to do the work to find the kiddy perv's. If you're an internet newbie how would you even know? 2Wolves

Wasn't there just a thread complaining about castro's internet restrictions?
Much as i think that efforts should be made to more effectively prohibit kiddie porn, it seems a little bit overzealous to block out, even if inadvertantly, some legitimate and legal sites in the name of discouraging a very small portion of the world's population from something. |
