Let me just throw this in so no one else feels the need to say it.

"Why do you bitter dems and socialist liberals hate america"

oh yeah, and

"Well, bill clinton got a B.J. and lied about it"

now with those two overused lines of reasoning(and hopefully their derivatives) out of the way, please, carry on.

Nice cut and paste. You even left the little arrow thingies in.

How quaint.

A great deal of that drivel is blatantly false, but I doubt that concerned you one bit when you hit the ol' "ctrl V"

What a sad waste of time...

I am as staunch a democrat as anyone, but I bet you could make an equally long list of the failures and mishaps of Clinton as well.

One-sided, biased, partisan rhetoric gets us nowhere. Stop watching Hannity and Colmes and the No Spin Zone and form your own opinions!

False. This has been well-documented, and Bush was cleared.

False. Jeb recused himself. The father's appointments have approved, just off the top of my head, protection for affirmative action and free speech restrictions (campaign finance "reform"), from one of the most balanced Supreme Courts in history. Not that this was what the Republicans intended, of course.

> > > ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

Outdated.

And was stiffed when he pleaded to the Bush administration for help.

The one headed by Libya?

> > > * I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S.

False. Guantanamo Bay prisoners do not fall under the Geneva Convention. See my other posts for the four requirements laid out by Geneva.

> > > * I am the first President in U.S. history to order
> > > an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military
> > > occupation of a sovereign nation.
False. Which nation? Iraq? Unprovoked would mean Iraq had complied with Resolution 1441. It did not.

> > > * I did so against the will of the United Nations,
> > > the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world
> > > community.
False. 70% of Americans supported the liberation of Iraq.

> > > * I have cut health care benefits for war veterans

> > > * In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our

False. See Gilligan, Andrew, and Kay, David. The dossier has been vetted down to the 45 minute claim.

> > > * I am the first President in history to have a

> > > * I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical

False. "Strategic Bunker Buster" would be a WMD; the weapon is being developed to take out one target only (a bunker, hence "Tactical Bunker Buster") rather than wreak mass destruction, a.k.a. Weapon of Mass Destruction.

> > > * I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring
> > > Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to justice.
False. This resume is outdated.

> > > RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
> > > * All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are
> > > now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for

False. From an AP report: "Bush's gubernatorial documents are in the custody of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and are open under Texas public record laws. After Bush's term as governor ended, the documents were sent to his father's presidential library at Texas A&M University. The documents were moved back to archive them."

Look. I supported Bush's opponents in the 2000 election and have never voted for a single Republican, ever. But this is getting out of hand. I'm getting tired of posting the same corrections again and again.

I agree with Derwood. Think for yourself, for a change.

I believe it's already been done. I seem to remember reading a similar list loaded with falsehoods and lies about Clinton a few years back. I'm sure I could find it easily, if I cared.

Let's not focus on what "was",
Let's focus on what "is"

We can only change the present and the future,
I do not like rehashing things.

While some might be true or otherwise
let's focus on what we can do to change things for the better.
No matter what happen or who leads.

Looks like an even worse idea in big type. Hmm.

Bush in 1984

Nope. Pretty awful idea in color too.

Anyone else in 2004.

What an utterly pointless and inflammatory thread. I seem to recall a thread about "The Politics Board" being a big joke at TFP, this is the poster child for that thread.

I am heartened to see that there are some who will defend the truth no matter what side of the aisle they lean toward and dismayed to see some who are perfectly happy to spout useless and false information as if it were gospel. Although perhaps to them it is. I think I almost caught an "Amen" at the end of it but it was muffled by the separation of church and state mantra.
