PABAAH
www.PABAAH.com (Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood) was featured on the Daily Show tonight, and I was curious to see if they were really McCarthy-ities or if they got a bad spin. I was reading the site and almost believed it was satire. The owner's philosophy is that if one disagrees with the current adminstration / anything republican then they are anti-american traitors.
Then I got to the part where he called veterans traitors if they disagree with bush and pointed-out Benedict Arnold was a veteran. That is when I realized the entire site was satire... *somebody taps nanofever on the shoulder and informs him that the site isn't satire* oh um..... scary, anyone have any thoughts on the site ?

Hah, Pabaah is a hoot.
The owner Jon Alvy, used to be a regular at Bill Mahers message boards. He's a real nutcase. The discussion that finally made him run and hide was one where we discussed why he was frequenting one of the "america haters" message boards, since he adding to the community makes the board stronger and ultimately brings more people to Bill. His actions of posting there were assisting the type of people he was trying to boycott. Anyway I'll ask some of the other guys there to share some anecdotes about good ol Jon for you guys. By the way... the message board was just mentioned on Larry King tonight, we just got a boost of about 2000 anonymous users... |
