I think that everyone wants a speedier transfer of power to the Iraqis. However, I doubt that anyone wants that transfer to take place before we have an American-friendly government in place there. We've lost hundreds of soldiers, the least that we should gain is an ally in the region.
Clark's requirements for someone to replace Bremer is simply that it is someone who is not an American? Wow, that's well thought out. Perhaps eple would be interested in the job -- he meets the requirements.

Ahh yes, the UN will take over. After all they provided excellent security for their own delegation in Iraq and they didn't cut and run as soon as their security failure killed people. Not.
