France certainly hasnt been acting as an ally, they seem to be trying to undermine the US.

France and Germany are both jokes, nahhh neither one had a hiden agenda for trying to stop this war.

France is a thorn in the side of the US and the UK. The fact that France and Germany are best buds now is quite funny to me. It'll make it easier for Germany to invade them again...for at least the third time.

Who could have known.

Besides, if this is true then the US should have know about ti before. They bugged the french diplomatic rooms didn't they?

It's my opinion that no country has real allies. Countries are out for their own good, allies are simply uneasy acquaintances who will not hesitate to shoot you in the back if there is something to be gained from it.

So what do the UK and Australia have to take from the US and when are they planning to shoot it in the back?

Protection, economy. America is a massive force in the world, not many countries would attack a US ally if they knew the US would come to help.

As for shooting in the back, I don't know. These types of things generally happen when it's convenient for the countries involved, right now I can't see any situations developing that the UK or Australia could (or would be willing to) use to their advantage that would disadvantage America. I say "would be willing to" because the protection factor is so great that they don't want to fuck it up. It could take decades before the timing is right to turn. Or maybe they never will. It depends on what is advantageous to them.

But even the countries we're a little miffed at would still get our protection in the case of invasion, if it's in our interest.
