What to do with the Iraqi leaders? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

The "War Crimes" thread (http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...&threadid=1423) discusses whether US soldiers and Presidents etc. should be put on trial in international courts. We all know what the American government thinks.

But with the international court option dead in the water, what are we going to do with Iraqi leaders that we are questioning?

ok, hold the suspects in iraq and send 'em to international tribunal, where the trial would have legitamacy from the rest of the world.

ICC is a no can do. America has vetoed it. They'll need to find a more creative solution.

I know, how about we use their methods. Lets torture them untill they admit whatever we want then shoot them in the head.*just kidding*

Tariq Aziz is a survivor and knows what we want to know - he'll cut a deal, if he hasn't already, and burn the rest of them. When the real truth is known the world will not care what we or anyone else does with them. Aziz can retire to the South of France or somewhere and live out his days reading Amereican novels.

Simple... when a stable Iraqi government is build, set up a national court there.

Put the leaders on trial, with the option of getting the death penalty (unlike the ICC). Then put the normal ba'ath members in front of sort of truth commission like in South-Africa - you need those people to run the country, provided they didn't do too many nasty things.

Let them live in peace in harmony in Saudia Arabia, I guess. It seemed to work with Idi Amin, who's a billion times worse than these pissants.

That guy should have been tried as a war criminal.
