Remembering Edward Said
Just thought I'd mention for those of you who hadn't heard, Edward Said passed away yesterday.
He was a brilliant man, an eloquent speaker, and definitely the most influencial voice concerning the Palestinian cause. It's a shame he's gone, this world could use more people just like him. SLM3 |

Interesting that no one has replied to this...
I've read his book Orientalism and heard him speak at my University (lost my favourite hat at that lecture). I didn't always agree with him but would say that he was an extremely important voice and that he will be missed.
