Hmmm...very strong message, that.

I love the "no blood for oil" message. Oil is such an important factor of production, which is in turn such a major component of GDP that we cannot afford to let oil prices fluctuate much. The investment of human lives in Iraq averts increasing suicide and crime that coincides with increases in unemployment(which is caused by oil price shocks).

It is sad that people die, but do we cry when anybody else does their job? Nobody was drafted. We're talking about volunteers of one kind or another that decided that government jobs was the way to go. Everybody who joins the military recognizes that you may be required to go to war, and that people die in war.

Preparing to be flamed....

PS-The little flash animation thingy was quite creative. I wonder if the cranberrys will sue...

That's solid. With slightly better production values that could be a national spot, if any networks would pick it up, which they won't. They need a slightly better ending, though. Bush doesn't say "Army of One." That's the Army's slogan. "Is this what they mean" would be more honest. Anyway, I'll pass the link around.

I find it ironic and frustrating that they can critisize national defense and army spending by bush without telling you the effect Mr. Clinton had on our military...

Sadly, there is no new information or anti-war reasons that i haven't heard hundreds of times before. I was hoping for something slightly more informed with more information.

Also, we have become so proficient and effective in our military ordeals that the media and authors of that seem to think that people no longer die in war. Believe it or not folks, that was a war. You make it sound like people are dying left and right. Like its a massacre and a bloodbath over there. Tell that to the familys of the thousands killed and maimed in D-Day. Any one of them would give life and limb so as to have had casualty numbers that low. People die in war, sad but true. Get used to it. We have one of the lowerst (if not THE lowest) casualty rate of any war we've entered as a country. And they are all up in arms about "look how many people are dead and dying?! oh the humanity!!" Really, take a look at how many people have died. We should be praising our military for doing such a good job and keeping so many of them safe.

Ehh, flame if you must, that video was terribly one-sided (which i expected, either side of the issue would only put out information for their cause) and did a reasonable job of spinning the facts.

You do realize it was Clinton's military that won in Afghanistan, right? The military spending increases for Bush went into effect October 2002. I'm sure those six months of extra money helped us build a bunch of bombs, and that's great, but you make it sound like Clinton destroyed the army.

You seem to think that if a reason is good enough to be used hundreds of times, it loses its worth? I'll work on informing you with informationally-filled information from the information super highway.

Who is the "you" who is making it sound like people are dying left and right? Also, I think to compare this war to WWII does more to disrespect the families of D-Day casualties than anything else. That was a war to protect the world from a man who was rolling tanks over Europe and had killed quite a few Jewish people, as well as Gypsies, homosexuals, etc. This is a war about oi...well, you know. You've probably heard that reason a hundred times before. I think you should tell the families of the trifling number of casualities that they should praise the military for keeping their loved ones safe.

I agree with you that it was one-sided, and I agree that's to be expected.
