4 more years?

This is a simple question for everyone, not meant to be a big discussion of political affiliation or what you think about Iraq and other world issues, or potential candidates.

I simply would like to know, do you want Bush to be in Office for four more years, regardless of who is running against him?

That's it. Yes or no. No reasons needed, no flame wars wanted. Just a yes or no. Thanks for cooperating :)

Oh, and if you don't live in the US, I don't mind if you vote. Not that I could stop you anyway, but I'm interested in TFP's voice as a whole on this yes or no question.

Sleepyjack 09-16-2003 08:14 AM

sure don't mind a change.

hopefully scaremongering doesn't become part of the campaign....that's what john howard (australian prime minister) used last election, poeple who are scared are afraid of change. Alhough last time i was only 17 so i couldn't vote anyways....

Lebell 09-16-2003 08:14 AM

If people can keep this within the parameters requested by the poster, I'll leave this thread here.

If they can't, or it causes other problems, it'll be moved to "Politics".

Fair 'nuff?

No, thanks!

Esoteric 09-16-2003 10:29 AM

No, I'd rather see someone else.

Four Fingers 09-16-2003 11:19 AM

Democrats suck, so yes. I might have taken another republican if it was possible, though.

phredgreen 09-16-2003 11:25 AM

nope. it's time to focus on domestic issues. bring on the new.

tj2001cobra 09-16-2003 11:30 AM

I'm happy with what he has done. 4 more years.

The_Dude 09-16-2003 11:31 AM

I'm stinking tired of the what happened in the past 4 years.

Time for a democrat.

SkanK0r 09-16-2003 11:37 AM

Outta here.

Pheatius 09-16-2003 12:58 PM

Keep him for four more...(Although I think the Rev. Al Sharpton would be much more entertaining.)

seretogis 09-16-2003 01:14 PM

Keep him for four more years. Maybe free expression will be outlawed and he will bring us that much closer to a second American Revolution. No taxation without [competant] representation! That is probably the only way that drastic change in our government takes place, unfortunately.

Stare At The Sun 09-16-2003 09:23 PM

Time for a change, a big change in my book. We need fresh ideas, and we need to get back to domestic issues that matter, like rebuilding nasa, the economy, and fixing social security, and maybe having healthcare that works.

SkanK0r 09-16-2003 10:44 PM

Not to debate, but I found it extremely funny that you put "fix nasa" and "fix the economy and social security" in the same sentence. Hehehe.

I want to know what's with the asterisk on the "No I don't" option. Did I just vote for something like a national army of flying monkeys?

bobw 09-17-2003 05:07 AM

NO !

hiredgun 09-17-2003 06:26 AM

Nay.

i think it shows which option you voted for.

ctembreull 09-17-2003 07:18 AM

After what he's done? Not only do I want him removed from the White House (frogmarched, if necessary), but were it within my power, I'd have him tried, convicted, and imprisoned without possibility of pardon or parole for the rest of his natural life. He lied - a plain, baldfaced lie, repeated often and at length - about Iraq. Thousands upon thousands are dead now - including several hundred Americans - as a direct result of those lies.

What disturbs me is that there's so many people who are actually okay with the idea of returning this criminal to office.

No, you just voted for me! Mwahahahha!

(By the way, I am endorsed by the National Party of Flying Monkeys.)

ninety09 09-17-2003 07:26 AM

I'm not from the USA, but anyway.. For the sake of the whole world, please get rid of that moron.

NO!!!! :)
Seretogis, I've been wanting to ask you something for a while. It's based on what I remember being an Ellen DeGeneres standup routine.
"Gay Republicans? How does that work? 'We disapprove of our own lifestyle!'"
Now, I know you're not a Republican (Libertarian, right?) but you tend to hold views that are in line with the sort of people who'd not be friendly. So you support Bush, but he doesn't support your right to marry a man, serve in the military, etc. Is that issue just not important enough for you?

Jesus Pimp 09-18-2003 03:57 PM

No way.

LewisCouch 09-19-2003 07:56 AM

Ah, the age old problem of "choosing your poison."
Eeeny, meeny, miney, mo...

desdes 09-19-2003 08:37 AM

In regards to topic question: No. Then again, I don't want any of these fools 'in office.'

The above post states it better than i could..

Conclamo Ludus 09-19-2003 11:23 AM

Sure...well...no...yes...maybe...We'll see closer to the election.

ObieX 09-19-2003 11:29 AM

I'm pretty much open to anyon else at this point

Wait a minute. Scaremongering has been the primary tactic for neoconservatives since Goldwater. Where would neocon Republicans be without scaremongering?

hunnychile 09-19-2003 11:49 AM

No, please Dear God, no more Bushes

or Republicans.

Save the middle class!

This has always been the platform of politicians on each side of the fence.

The Sky Is Falling: Left

The Gays Are Coming After Our Children: Right

Big Corporations Are Trying To Kill Us All: Left

The Socialists Are Coming After Our Money: Right

White People Are Coming After Our Minorities: Left

The Minorities Are Coming After Our White People: Right

That's enough, I hope I didn't offend everyone. This is of course meant all in jest.:D

maximusveritas 09-19-2003 06:03 PM

Good point Conclamo Ludus. Thing is, you definitely hear those examples you gave as coming from the right than those you gave as coming from the left.

In regards to the current results of the poll, I only wish Americans were more like TFPers.

ARTelevision 09-19-2003 06:39 PM

Yes. He's the right man for the job at this point in history.

Xell101 09-19-2003 09:56 PM

I'll go out on a whim and assume that he'll yet again be vastly preferable to who ever the democrats cough up as a candidate.

porkpie 09-19-2003 09:58 PM

NO!

Vyxen 09-26-2003 12:53 AM

Not one bit! It's time for a big change.

Ratman 09-26-2003 05:48 AM

B'bye!

JohnnyRock 09-26-2003 06:37 AM

I sure don't want four more years. I'm just worried that the democrats running would be too soft on terrorists, etc., which isn't exactly the best thing I could think of. I guess I'm looking for someone that will be rational but tough enough if he has to be...

chavos 09-26-2003 08:40 AM

i'd take near anybody. sorta makes me sad that McCain won't run. liberal as i am, he would have a legitimate chance at winning my vote.

mml 09-26-2003 09:01 AM

No, simply put, Mr. Bush has been a poor steward of the nation's economy, has damaged our position in the international community and has failed at making truly meaningful improvements in homeland security. Thank you, sir, for your service and enjoy your retirement years in Crawford.

Charlatan 09-26-2003 09:06 AM

God I hope he is gone and soon...

Question... do we even have to worry about this? Isn't the Zero year Presidential curse going to strike him down anyway?
