Lets get some creativity, elected leaders!
I'm not a huge fan of Bush, mainly because everything he does is either said by his yes-men team of crack politians, or by the results of those polls we see on CNN all the damn time.
Now its not just Bush. Every elected member of our government doesn't have a fucking original thought amongst them. Its like watching rats in a maze "If I'm a Democrat, I vote Democrat, I'f I'm Republican, I vote Republican". "I listen to what the polls say, what the lobbyists give me money for, and if I have time, maybe what the voters want me to do." (Note: I realize the party system keeps everyone in check, but more often than not, partisan vote is more important than the real issues.) I loved it when Colin Quinn brought up the point that had Bush given that $206 million he got for fundraising to charity and then reformed finance, he would have no problem at all with winning the 2004 election. Instead, he listens to polls and his yes-men. We're living in the age of career-politicians. God help us if they decided to think for themselves instead of listen to polls.
