TFP Ballot Box, Politcal Affiliation?

Personally I'm undecided. Just wanted to get a feeling of the TFPs political leanings.

JBX 08-24-2003 03:54 PM

None of the above. I'm a Constitutionalist.

The_Dude 08-24-2003 03:56 PM

I think there's a few of these threads floating around out there somewhere. It's fairly balanced I think.

I put democrat, but really I'm pretty centrist. If the Dems put up someone respectable and centrist (Clinton) I'll support them. At the same time, I'd rather have a slight lean to the right than a slight lean to the left. Right now, when most of the time it's center (Dem) vs right (GOP) I'll vote for the Democrats.

Card carrying member of the Libertarian Party. Or...none of the above.

Same here.

My first vote went to a Libertarian, and I've never been registered as anything else in my life.

funbob 08-25-2003 07:44 AM

Republican here, although registering as a republican has not stopped me from voting outside party lines.

mml 08-25-2003 09:58 AM

Democrat, but I look at the candidate, their positions and abilities in addition to their party(i.e I simply could not bring myself to vote for Dukakis and I was working for a Democratic U.S. Senator at the time.). I would have to be considered a conservative/centrist Democrat.

Pennington 08-26-2003 06:31 PM

There are a few threads already around asking the same question, i hope that this doesn't become a problem.

Anyway, I vote green, but I rarely vote along party lines.

cliv 08-26-2003 06:52 PM

Republican, but I've learned that I lean toward Liberterian on certain issues.

Macheath 08-27-2003 08:14 AM

Australian Labor Party.

seretogis 08-27-2003 01:18 PM

I vote this to be the worst political affiliation poll ever. Of the eight options, only three are political parties.

LOL!

I put don't care, because I don't care. Supporting a political party is, IMO, like having to choose which leftovers to eat: liver or chicken gizzards. Hmmmmm, just how hungry AM I?

rogue49 08-27-2003 07:56 PM

None of the above.

GDI (God-Damned Independent)
I calls 'em as I sees 'em

They all have their own agenda,
I just have to figure out which is the lesser of evils,
and who will work for me the most.

Fallon 08-28-2003 04:45 AM

I shoulda put undecided because I'm like rogue49. I've got a lot of things that I agree about with republicans, but I've got a lot I agree with the Dems. I don't really know much about the other parties, but I think if I did, I'd probably agree with their views also on some issues.

Brewmaniac 08-31-2003 10:50 AM

Used to be Republican but now a Demarcate because Bush and his buddies have forgotten about the average person. He gave away the huge surplus and now has created a huge deficit! And his handling of Iraqi is unbelievable!

SkanK0r 08-31-2003 11:12 PM

seretogis: agreed

juanvaldes 09-01-2003 12:23 AM

I'll go with fuck the system here but I look at the issues not what party is on what side of the line.

BoCo 09-01-2003 06:44 AM

Conservative Republican

RoadRage 09-06-2003 08:44 AM

If there is a third-party or independent candidate, they get my vote first. Otherwise, I vote to cause gridlock; because if they're too busy screwing each other over, they ain't screwing me.

"Bi-partisan" is the most vulgar word in the English language because it means everyone is getting raped in the deal.

Amen. My mom practically railed at me in the last presidential election for "throwing my vote away". Didn't change my mind, didn't change the filled-in bubble on my ballot.

The Libertarian Party

absorbentishe 09-10-2003 11:19 AM

Conservative Republican here.
