I put democrat, but really I'm pretty centrist. If the Dems put up someone respectable and centrist (Clinton) I'll support them. At the same time, I'd rather have a slight lean to the right than a slight lean to the left. Right now, when most of the time it's center (Dem) vs right (GOP) I'll vote for the Democrats.

My first vote went to a Libertarian, and I've never been registered as anything else in my life.

Democrat, but I look at the candidate, their positions and abilities in addition to their party(i.e I simply could not bring myself to vote for Dukakis and I was working for a Democratic U.S. Senator at the time.). I would have to be considered a conservative/centrist Democrat.

I put don't care, because I don't care. Supporting a political party is, IMO, like having to choose which leftovers to eat: liver or chicken gizzards. Hmmmmm, just how hungry AM I?

I shoulda put undecided because I'm like rogue49. I've got a lot of things that I agree about with republicans, but I've got a lot I agree with the Dems. I don't really know much about the other parties, but I think if I did, I'd probably agree with their views also on some issues.

Used to be Republican but now a Demarcate because Bush and his buddies have forgotten about the average person. He gave away the huge surplus and now has created a huge deficit! And his handling of Iraqi is unbelievable!

Amen. My mom practically railed at me in the last presidential election for "throwing my vote away". Didn't change my mind, didn't change the filled-in bubble on my ballot.
