Only for TFPers OUTSIDE CA....It's Poll time!
Ok, just like the other one...If you live outside CA, who do you hope wins in the CA recall election?
|
I'd like to see Gary Coleman or Larry Flynt. Because porn is good and how much damage can a dwarf do anyway. When electing a politician it's always about damagecontrol.
|
i want davis to be retained. that'll be a slap in the face for the republican party.
|
Where is the "don't give a damn" option?
|
hey where is the none of the above box
if this is CA then we should at least stick to the script |
I believe the "Don't give a damn" option is where you pass this thread by. Also, I don't think there is a "none of the above" choice on the ballot.
|
I don't like the precident this recall could set. If the election was not so recent, and if the recall was truly a "grassroots" movement then I would have less concern. Everyone needs to remember that if this is successful, it WILL happen again. Democrats are just as devious and calculating as Republicans and if they see the opportunity they will go for it.

Mary Carey
She's the perfect candidate for this whole farce. Maybe people will realize that the Executive Branch isn't the one with the power, it's the Judical Branch, and it's time to fix it. Then again maybe monkeys will come flying out of my ass. |
The whole recall thing is a joke. The public elected him. Put up with it until next election.
|
Support for the recall is dwindling rapidly, thank god. And as an added slap in the face to the rich Republican who sponsored it in the first place, Cruz Bustamonte (Democrat and Hispanic!) is leading the polls over Schwarzenneger.
Huzzah. :) |

I'm just curious where all the disaproval for the recall process was a few years back when California recalled some Republicans. :icare: |
Not only that, but if you add together the poll numbers for all of the Republicans in that poll, Bustamante would lose by several points. If the Republicans get behind one candidate, look out CA...you have an Elephant coming to Sacramento.

I will admit that I don't even know why theres a recall happening. Whats the legal reason a recall is being presented?
|
Coleman is the man with the master plan.
|
Coleman or Cruz - but only if he has his name legally changed to Cruise Bustamove and wears wayfarers sunglasses, loud hawaiian shirts, white panama hats and a tan briefcase handcuffed to his wrist filled to the brim with ether and photos of Arnold groping Denise Van Outen for the rest of the campaign. Just to keep in the spirit of things.

Arnold...I sorta just wanna see what would happen if he did
|
This is a travesty/mockery of our election process !
I'd vote for Gallagher . |
I voted for Arnold! Because he's... well, it'd be so fun if he won :P
I heard on Norwegian news that Arnold was pro "gun control"... Is this true? It just seems to go against his image ;) |
I think Arnold would cut a lot of the bullshit spending and money wasting thats being done. I also think that Davis is getting the short end of the stick on this one. It isnt really his fault, its a cumulative effect of the shitty systems in the state for money management in combination with the poor work of predecessors (i.e. people more concerned with their personal gain than DOING THEIR JOB.) + of course, getting slammed with 9/11 and an economic depression.
Many hands are tied, but also many opportunities are being squandered. |

That movie is also responsible for Jesse Ventura lowering Minnesota's tax on minigun ammo. Bit of a mainfesto if you think about it... |
I think Davis should stay in office. For the simple fact that a recall is a stupid idea to begin with. If you don't like your public official vote him out in the next election. Isn't that standard practice?
If you're going to have a recall, then only let the original voters (from the regular election) vote on the recall. After all, they took the time to vote in the first place, all others should suck it up and wait another two years. Like mml said I have a hard time following a "grassroots" campaign that started in the strategy room of a rich member of the opposite political party. Nothing "grassroots" about it. |
