“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it"

This is an interesting little film put together by the US Government in 1947 about equality and freedom, but as the description under the video points out, the ideas are just as applicable today as they were then...so maybe its not so old fashioned.


I'm not sure if this is the right place for this video or not but I thought it might spark an interesting debate and it seems somewhat appropriate considering all the recent talk of Mosques, Muslims, immigrants, gay marriage...well you get the idea. Have a watch, the ideas and lessons here really are every bit as relevant in 2010 as they were in 1947 and I think that's a rather sad commentary on our society that these lessons still need to be taught 63 years later.

Its about 15 min long and VERY WWII, Nazi Germany heavy but well worth a viewing if you have the time to spare. The ending really sums it up pretty well (skip to about 13:20ish if you just want to hear that)
