At least he says it straight - the US is a global empire and there's not a goddam thing anybody can do about it; settle down, get used to it, speak when your spoken too, stop whining...If forced to choose, I'd rather that than a whole bunch of liberation double-speak.
Oh yeah, Henry can't travel much nowdays because of the whole Cambodia thing. http://www.spectacle.org/0501/kissinger.html |

Thanks for the link Macheath. In much of my focus as to why he strangely dropped out of the situation involving who had prior knowledge of 9/11 without a any reasons for dropping the investigation; I missed this aspect of his history. I admit I've never really read much about him until recently, it appears hes as colorful as anyone.
I will say this in reply to your statement of how the way things are so get use to them: remember the Romans.

...or the English. But by comparison, the American Empire is pretty young and the barbarians are a long way away from the surrounding hills.
Kissinger would appear to be in a spot of bother when it comes to going on trial. I don't say that in a judgemental way- he was and remains a servant of his country and was acting to further the interests of it at the time. He probably is in trouble mainly for not bothering with the usual moral veneer people expect of a person in his position. |

Kissinger is a genius at foreign affairs. If you look back at the administrations he has served most of their success has to be almost solely, in his ability to wheel and deal in diplomacy, If you look at Nixon -most of his success was in foreign policy and that was the work of one man - and that man wasn' t Richard Nixon. Kissinger has his critics and he also has his admirers - there are far more of the latter.
