people see what they want to see
personally I thought of the proverb about a hundred monkeys in a room with typewriters and laughed then I was a little perturbed that it seems like so many people would see it as racist and complain about it, really people if your that concerned about racism then get out there and do something about it as regards the migrant workers or Muslims the black oppression mentality has got to change, white people have prosecuted all colours |

It doesn't seem likely that it was intended as racist, but that doesn't -by itself- let it off the hook. I have to say I did see a race connection the first time I saw it. But if they apologised then, well, forgive and forget, really. As for the "double standards" of portraying Bush as a monkey for years then crying foul when Obama might have been portrayed as one, that's completely missing the point. It's like saying the n-word and the word Honkey are equally offensive. They aren't, because of historical significance.

It's not racist unless you want it to be. We need to stop this whole Political Correctness crap.
