"Mysterious" outage during the Obama show.

I set up the DVR to record the Obama show. Not that there was much of a chance that it would effect my vote one way or the other, but just out of pure curiosity. And also so I could fast forward through it should the need arise.

So I turn on the TV about 8:30PM Central to give it a view.

And it's not there.

So I go look at the timer history to see what's up.

It says that there was a "signal loss" from 7:01 to 7:24

It usually only wipes out an entire show if it is torrentialy raining the entire length of the show. But there was nothing but clear skies this evening.

Now, I do think some conspiracies exist, but I don't obsess about them (no newspaper clippings taped to the walls), and I don't seek them out.

But this struck me as a bit too "coincidental" to be random.

So I'm wondering if anyone else, that wanted to watch the Obama show, had any trouble viewing or recording it?

i rather enjoyed the infomercial, but it's pretty much a heartstring thing, nothing new, but nothing grossly out of place.

Interesting. I had a strange power surge a couple of minutes into it and had to shut my TV and cable box to get it going again.

Maybe something like that happened?

Or maybe it's a conspiracy.

the production was decent.. but the message lacked that real final push to get the last of the unsure's to swing his way. The way I viewed it, it was just a long stump speech put to video.. and was intended to show the average american and hopefully connect that way.. I think it failed in that last regard though... I thought it was going to be more of an inspirational piece.. but again I feel it lacked. It wasn't bad.. it won't hurt him.. but I don't think it will help him either.

as far as the power outage.. who knows.. the ALCS wasn't on for 2 innings a few weeks ago because a grid in Atlanta went down.. so.. it could have been anything. There are liberal plants working everywhere these days!

I missed it too. I was watching The Great Pumpkin.

Once I make my decision, all political hubris is tuned out.

I watched it, but I've been following the candidates so closely that none of the info was new. Plus, I voted early, so it's not like it would make a difference either way

I hard an issue where my antenna wasn't pointing the right direction. And my primary TV/Monitor died earlier that day. But I was able to watch it.

I thought it was pretty good. And it was a 100% positive message about Obama's plan an who he is as a father. He explained that problems exist and how he go about fixing them. McCain has a plan, I've read it, but 99% of the ads for him are attacking Obama and negative. If McCain doesn't talk about what he is going to do in the next four years, it will be a simple choice to make next week.

I guess it wasn't a worldwide conspiracy then. Just little gremlins on my roof dressed in white tuxedoes that killed Obama for a half an hour.

I was disappointed that it wasn't in HD. Or was it in HD and I just didn't have it on the right channel?
