the good in economic equality?

just to play devil's advocate - why should everybody hold the same or similar level of wealth?

If a society holds a small amount of economic inequality, then why is this a bad thing? If somebody is poor then what is to stop them from working to acquire greater wealth for themselves?

It is important that the OP starts the discussion themselves. If you ask questions you should be starting the dicussion by answering them.
