Iraq was not invaded for oil

Iraq was invaded to keep the oil production low and make the price of oil high.

Hugo Chavez : "I want to sell cheap oil". Why then does not Bush go to him and have the same good relations with him as he has with Saudi Arabia , if oil is what he seeks ?

There is far less democracy and civil liberties in Saudi Arabia than in Venezuela.
Bush and the oil companies hate Chavez because he could sell cheap oil and undermine their profits

pai mei, Iraq was invaded to control the oil. The saber rattling against Iran is for the same reason. Somalia? Ditto. Venzuela? Ditto. Any country that has significant oil reserves is in the cross hairs of this administration.

Palast is one of the few remaining investigative journalists. Have you read "Armed Madhouse" yet? He has Rove by the "short" hairs.

That's a trickier situation as they are our biggest trade partner and occupy the longest unarmed border in the world with us.

Besides, we already control their oil. Where do you think it all goes?

Canada's oil is ours.
They gave it all away for our beer formulas and some west coast pot.

Regime change and the installation of real democracy!
Not the Communism-lite currently on display.

Local town council members get booted for far less serious conflicts of interest like owning a car dealership that bids on used city vehicles but it's just a minor coincidence of course that Bush and his gang (in the true sense of the word) are oil executives.

Um, are you SERIOUS???? Have you not checked more of Mr Chavez's history? The man has said MANY times in public that he has, and WILL CONTINUE to take profits from his oil and give the money to terrorists to help fund their attacks! Personally I think THAT might have just a LITTLE to do with not buying oil from him don't you think?????
