The Karl Rove Thread....
We would be remiss as a politics forum if we allowed ourselves to neglect one of the main players in American Politics. Thus I propose we create a compilation of the many accomplishments of this "Man behind the scenes".

Rover has served as a mentor to Bush and helped him get elected President.

It is relatively apparent, that Mr. Rove has been a very important part of the current direction we see this republican party taking. Equally apparent to many is the "less than Ideal" result the direction seems to be heading. This thread is meant as a way to expose Mr. Rove, and by extention those that use his "Skills" to undermine honesty in our political system.
Is that clear enough? |

Yup. Thanks tecoyah.
I think Ace's approach is also interesting, and I'll try to add to it later. For better or worse, Karl Rove is also probably responsible for the successes of the GOP over the last 8 years. Understanding that means granting at least a grudging respect for the strategic and tactical sense he has shown.

Let's add Karl Rove's private email system within the White House to circumvent the legal requirement to retain all documents. Sadly, Rove's emails have disappeared that might shed light on his involvement with the US Attorney firings and voter caging.
Happily, Greg Palast caught several hundred of them and is appearing before Congress.

Tom Delay was the GOP's money man?! He was a small town Texas hustler that only funneled money for the GOP and was too greedy not to be caught. He was never anything but a bit player, and the true money men are safely distanced from him.

Rove's latest "stratgic and tactical" program resulted in another high level person in the Bush administration found guilty of breaking the law:

The long awaited testimony of Susan Ralston, employed first by Abramoff and then by Rove, is getting a bit of press. Waxman released her testimony to the public, but I have yet to find it. I doubt anyone here will be surprised that she identified Rove as having violated the Hatch Act.
