I'm not entirely sure, time will tell. |
Another wacko trying to get media attention. She'll plead temporary insanity and be out.

Explosive substance in those bottles, hydrogen, they found oxygen too, but only half as much.

It is obvious from the above reporting (a local reporter wrote a news report from the "heartland", unembellished by mega-corp liberal media....), that the "fear" of terror in the US is a grassroots phenomena. Politicians do not lead the people. The successful ones who actually hold elected office......(not the unemployed losers who spend their time whining about losing election after election), either possess an uncanny knack for predicting trends of deepseated public concerns, or employ advisors who do that sort of thing for them, anticipate and react to: Quote:
their needs. After 9/11, a man of the President's ability and demeanor.... a man whose supporters often mentioned that he was approachable and the kind of guy who they would be comfortable "having a beer" with....was the right leader, at the precise time when Americans grew fearful; needed to be reassured; and they still clamor for that kind of leadership today. The proof is in how "edgy", many Americans still are acting. I just don't get the Michael Moore/moveon dot org mindset that wants to fault Mr. Bush for what he does best.....protect us via his stalwart and unbending policies of a GWOT. The people demanded a response like the color coded red, terror alert at US airports last week, as their reaction in West Virginia demonstrates, a week later. President Bush, in touch with public sentiment, was quick to respond, and wisely....quickly issued the red alert. I'm sure that he knew that he would be attacked by the left and the liberal media, for the red alert and the strict airline passenger screening, but my sig, below, explains it all, quite nicely. 'Nuff said ! |
Everything i have read has made it seem like the containers did not contain explosives but explosive residue. Which to me means it may have at one time contained explosvies or may have someone picked up a residue from elsewhere.

Let's talk about rush to judgements for a second. You've got a pregnant woman who mistakenly leaves a bottle in her carry-on luggage. It gets caught by a screener and somehow tests positive for explosives with the on-site equipment. She's Muslim wearing a head-scarf so of course we're all under attack. Except that there was no actual explosives found and it was all a mistake.
http://www.herald-dispatch.com/apps/...EWS01/60818001 No arrests. Full cooperation. And Host, the threat level in the US was NEVER raised to Red at any point. It was and remains Orange at all airports. |

Not criticzing...just questioning. Without taking the actual time to look it up (because I'm too lazy) I could've sworn that I heard, on the local news, that the threat level had been elevated to red. Maybe not... *edit* Quote:

Yes, the threat level was raised to red BUT ONLY FOR FLIGHTS ORIGINATING FROM THE UK. That means that the threat level for all domestic flights (which happen to make up 98.7% of all flights in this country) was Orange. It also means that the threat level for say, the Sears Tower, was not Red. Nor was the Empire State Building. Nor was EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Let's recap. The threat level was raised to Red for 1.3% of the flights into this country. The threat level for literally everything else in this country was not. Host, left, center, right or indifferent isn't relevant here. It's all about what actually happened, which was the initial reason for my post. Hopefully I haven't made the banned list, but let me know if I am so "honored". :icare: |
