Taking a Shot
So...over last winter I bought a new camera and decided to try my hand at photography, mostly I found myself photographing climbing trips and various goings on with friends. My camera is a Fujifilm S5100, I went for something I could just pull out of the box and start taking pictures to save some cash before I figured out whether or not it was going to turn into a serious hobby. I thought maybe I'd post two of my favorites, dunno why they are, they just are. The first one was taken while hanging over the edge of a cliff about 60 feet above her, the second was taken in a room so dark I could barely see the camera and using only the flash that comes on the camera. Basically, I just want to see what you all think(and yes I'm amazingly nervous as I'm possibly the least creative person I know, so please be gentle).

Nice images.
I think the First image would have worked better had you zoomed out on your subject so that you could see what she was doing. It could give more depth (literally) to the photo. The second one I like simply b/c of the black and white. Good framing on this one too! The cute girl helps a bit too! Cheers, look forward to seeing more of your photos!
