17 Photographs.

An abandoned block of flats.

Looking through a dirty window of another block of flats.

Bridge End Pizzas & Kebabs, roughly 4am on Sunday

A place called Burnhope.

Rock pools at Seaton Sluice.

A big rock, also at Seaton Sluice.

A cone-shaped 'thing' in the woods. Roughly 20ft high.

A dark sky over Chopwell.

Approach to the Castle of Caernabog.... Nah, not really. Derwent Reservoir.

More fields.

People taking photos of the bride and groom in St. James' Park, Newcastle.

Insulting Tape, only 50p a roll! (or large insulting for £1, look closely)

The Side, Newcastle.

I want that house!

The Ring of Venus (the orangey bit on the horizon).

An empty St. James' Park Football Stadium. The temptation to yodel was too great.

Little fluffy clouds.

No idea. It's just a stone built, cone shaped thing in the middle of some woods. No doors or openings at all, it's just a... thing.

If the people want more cone, who am I to deny them?

The funny thing about cones, they tend to look the same no matter what angle you view them from.

Here's a google map showing you almost exactly where it is.

The woods are directly North West of the marker and as far North as Beamish.

I doubt you'll find anything but I wish you all the best in trying. I'll see if I can dig anything up myself.

ok I found it lol....damn its not anything "mysterious"

http://www.greatnorthforest.co.uk/do...s/TYNEWEAR.PDF

this page (its a pdf I cant past it) says
Edenhill Plantation. At the centre of this private woodland the
Trail passes a crafted stone “cone”, one of a series of specially
commissioned artworks in the Great North Forest.

I should have just made up something 'mysterious' about it. Although, with net-detectives like you on the case, I'd be found out in no time.

There's just no pleasing some people.

K, I hope I'm not the only one who reads "An abandoned FLOCK of BATS" at first glance...

The scenery pics are awsome. Now um...can I get a bird's eye view of the cone?

The large brick layered cone that you found is weird. It looks like some sort of chimney, does it have an opening somewhere? Cause I'm intrigued

One of my favs is the little cottage though

I think it could be:

1) Ventilation shaft for a secret underground base.

2) An antenna collecting instructions from an invisible alien space station to be passed on to shape-shifting alien spies.

3) The squirrels built it as an escape cone to shelter from the wild boar.

4) A 'War of The Worlds' style buried alien death machine.

5) What you can see is actually only the top 1% of an ancient temple complex.

...or

6) Just a cone.
