First One
[QUOTE=Shpoop]Would like to know which you like better. Here's my analysis: I like the composition in the first one better, but it looks harsh, almost as if I had used a flash. What do you all think?
First one. It would really be cool if you could just crop in on the eye. There is so much detail in his eye.

Nice detail Shpoop!
I definetly like the first one better. I hope you don't mind but I did a little photoshopping to it to try to remove the reflections in the frog's eyes. If you didn't use a flash, there must have been some kind of bright light behind you... Anyway, check it out:

I would have to agree that the composition in the first one is really interesting. The only thing I noticed was the glare on the eyeball there, as someone above already mentioned ...
Really wicked detail! I never knew how cool a frog's eyeball was. How/where did you take these?

Thanks guys. Bolted-down, I noticed the exact same thing and it pissed me off...I spent quite a bit of time trying to fix it, but I could not...still have a lot to learn on the old photoshop. Thank you for doing what I could not.
Took them in my yard, found him in a flower pot, and the sun was behind us shining on his eye. I as well never knew how awesome a frog's eye was. I can't wait until I get a real macro lens and find this guy again...I cannot imagine how cool a really detailed shot of the eye the size of a screen would look. |
