A panorama, a sheep, some scenery and a cat.
The Toon - Panoramaniac.
http://img218.exs.cx/img218/6884/toonpanorama0ni.jpg A Sheep. http://img232.exs.cx/img232/3892/picture0254lo.jpg Some random scenery. http://img199.exs.cx/img199/5084/scne8uq.jpg My mog. http://img46.exs.cx/img46/1350/charly2pi.jpg |
That first picture is massive, and sure looks like the doom and gloom of north blighty, however that cat is the best cat ever, looks like churchill on crack. Could we have more pictures of the cat please, he/she makes me laugh.
|
I just noticed the first picture has 2 St. James' Parks on it. Never mind, eh?
|
The cat is awesome hehehehe Mog---one of my favorite books when I was a kid was Mog the Forgetful Cat....
I vote for more pics of the kitty :) |
Love the panorama... what that taken from your flat? If not, where?
Love the cat too... did he eat the sheep or does he just want to? |
Oh, go on then...
More moggy. http://img169.exs.cx/img169/6498/mog27fz.jpg http://img217.exs.cx/img217/1117/mogfire5aa.jpg and... Blaydon Sw_mming Poo_ http://img209.exs.cx/img209/7222/swimpoo3lf.jpg This cracks me up every time I drive past it (every week-day for the last five years). |
Gotta love the Sw'mming Poo! There is a restaurant not too far from my place with a sign that says:
GOODFOOD Only the "D" and some of the other letters are always burnt out... GOO_F_OD It is locally known as the GOOF |
Nice editing Charly, you knew you'd remember it eventually.
I propose a photography challenge. Find and document as many fucked up signs as you can. |

Good call, JWoody. You should start a thread in Photography to this effect. First post should be the sw'mming poo |

No, I moved out of the city centre a couple of years ago. The third picture is taken from the end of the street where I live. The panorama picture is from the South side of the river Tyne, in Gateshead, looking towards Newcastle. I stopped in the middle of a fairly busy road to take the photos. Believe it or not it was a sunny day when they were taken but I reduced the shutter speed to compensate for my shaky hands. |
Didn't you guys get that new lift bridge a few years back (the millenium bridge, or something like that)? Where is it in relation to this shot?

The tilting bridge - a.k.a. The Millenium Bridge at 15:35GMT on 24th March 2005.
http://img42.exs.cx/img42/4886/milbridge5hb.jpg The magical tilting mechanism. http://img130.exs.cx/img130/8243/picture0274gu.jpg View from the Millenium Bridge. http://img169.exs.cx/img169/9981/tbridge5bk.jpg If you look at this picture and follow the bridges, the panoramic was taken from the left side of the farthest bridge. |
*loves mog* sooo..what is your exact adress...*EG*
what is this tilting bridge? it looks interesting |
veruca m'dear, you can come and see my mog any time you like.
As for the tilting bridge - it's a bridge... get this... that TILTS!!! Unbelievable. It was installed as a footbridge from the Newcastle side of the river to the art gallery (which is in a converted flour mill) on the less popular but growing at an alarming rate Gateshead side. It tilts to allow tall ships to pass under it. Newcastle is one of the hosts of the European Tall Ships Race. |
