Photos taken during a hike at a local State Park
Up until last month, while it was still warm, I went on various hikes at a local State Park. These pictures were taken with my cell phone's camera, and are of varying quality.
I took this picture from a dock, and the goose came really close, so I didn't have to zoom in at all. This is the best picture I've taken IMO, and it's currently set as my phone's wallpaper. At the lake, there are two "islands" next to each other. This is one is to the left, and I liked this shot and how the island is in the lower corner of the photo, leaving the rest of the photo filled with the lake and openness. This shot was taken later in the year, as the leaves have fallen off the island on the left. The same island is pictured both here and above. I regret not using a higher resolution shot on this picture, because I really like it. I had been zooming in (lowered resolution), and must have forgotten to set the resolution higher for this shot. Ditto with the following two photos, but I regret the mental slip the most here, because I really think this was a great picture. It's just a shame it's so small. I took a bunch of pictures of this waterfall.. One in which I waded out to the grass pictured to the front and left, so that I could get a better shot. Ultimately, I liked this one more, because I thought the turbulance at the base of the photo looked neat. I took this picture while standing on a bridge that crosses the stream. Nothing too exciting here, but I do like the water (again) in the lower left, and how it is greenish as it goes over the stones. These pictures were taken at French Creek State Park, specifically at Hopewell Lake. The pictures were taken with my cell phone's camera (Audiovox CDM9900), and the reason the last three are smaller is because I forgot to increase the resolution from earlier zoomed shots. I don't currently own a stand-a-lone digitial camera, so for now I use my cell phone to take pictures.. I'm with Verizon, and it's $.25 a pop to send the pics to my email address/PC, so I have to be a little selective in what I "upload." Ideally, a digital camera will be in my future, but for now, I'm glad to have the ability to take pics at all and share them, even if it costs a little money.

Those are all really nice. The island photo is the best. Natural lighting is really important with camera phones.
My camera phone doesn't take that same quality but I like having it handy. Just bought two Canon A75's for Christmas gifts. They are really nice. Lot's of features, good battery life, easy to use. $175. each at WalMart.com. Good Luck.
