Our hike up local mountain.
We decided to go up this mountain ounce again but using a diff trail. I like hiking up mountains like these because its very fun and peaceful. I did this yesterday(monday) and sunday night I stayed up all night so I did it with out sleep. We made it to the peak though
1.The beast that were climbing about 1700 feet high. 2.Our friend terry we are at about 200 feet here. 3.My friends a little further up then me, it was like that the whole way . 4. We are going to be on that peak. 5. Someone spray painted Iron Maiden and a arrow, the arrow lead to nothing . 6. Heres our friend myron staring into the distance. 7. This is me on the edge of a rock, havin fun. 8. Here we are quite farther up. 9. Southern California is beautifal in the winter time. 10. We made it to the peak of the mountain. This mountain is dedicated to someone. If any of you can read the bottom phrase on the plaque. 11. Myron and Terry Meditating, its very peaceful up there. 12. Southern California Sky, this is the sky before the rain today. Sorry that my camera isnt all that great but it got the job done. |

Totally cool. I know exactly which mountain you climbed. I grew up in the Riverside area. It's right above UCR to the northeast of the campus.
Have you ever tried to get to the top of Box Springs Mountain? (the one with the "C" on it facing UCR and it has all the transmission towers at the top) I did that a couple of times. As of a few years ago you could still drive up a dirt road to the top. Box Springs is about 1,000 feet higher than the mountain you climbed and has even greater views. To get there you go through Moreno Valley via Pigeon Pass Road.
