that's a neat shot.. thanks for sharin with us
thanks guys... i like those kinda shots and try to get a good one every now and then...
Very cool. How many did you have to shoot to get this one? I find doing shots like this seriously tough to get right the first time around.
Creative. Good use of glasses.
Nothing like mirror/very dark lenses. Cool photo, never thought about doing something like that.
I really like that. Different take on the self portrait :)
Very cool shot! Nice work.
thanks guys... i appreciate it.
i took about 6 shots or so of that one. it was a little low light so i had to keep myself and the cam very still while the cam slowed down the shutter to compensate... i also had a little issue with focusing so i place a business card right where my reflection is in the glasses so that the cam can prefocus on that, then i removed the card and snapped the pic... theres another reflection pic i took several months ago that ill see if i can post as well |
Very cool...anymore?
ok here's another... i took this one way back in april with my old Canon G5 cam. ive since sold it... i liked that cam for shots like this because of the swivel LCD. u can lower the cam, face the LCD up towards you so that u can compose the shot etc... very handy.
http://www.nitrocross.com/temp/mefire.jpg lemme see if i have any more lying around.... |
I actually like this one better...very clear!! More?
Another nice shot. Thanks.

It reminded me of this shot I took in 1978 in my dormroom. In the backgrownd on the rightside lens you can (faintly) see my room-mate.
This is my first try at inserting a photo, hope it works |
great pic. you don't wanna know how old I was in 1978. *blush*

That is tooo Cool! I love how clear it is and that it was taken way back. Lovin' the seventies. |

what kind of camera was it? im thinking of getting an ol canon ae-1 to mess around with on the side... i cant quite tell by the reflection if its a canon or a pentax... thanks! |

Abel,
It is an Olympus OM-1, completely manual camera. Still have it, works great but I don't use it for more than a roll or two per year. Life gets too busy. Used a star filter. The glasses were really cool, my first prescription pair. I got some leather blinders from another old pair and installed them. It kills me that someone stole them from the dash of a car the next year. |
great idea... never seen that done that way before. Usually stupid mrror photos. Way to spruce it up.
very cool pics and original ideas...way to be creative!
it would be cool if you photoshop out the camera.. then people will wonder how you go the picture
Hey those turned out pretty cool, thanks for sharing ;-)
Hahaha, thats pretty sweet. Good work.
thanks guys!!!
i guess a nother cool effect would be to try to shoot that photo again but try to get the lens of the camera hidden behind ANOTHER pair of relfective glasses so that in the photo u will see two sets of glasses and no camera. that one sounds a bit challenging... i may have to try it... :) |
