I decided to break out the tripod for the first time in about 4-5 years. I bought one and hardly used it, until today. So I'm futzing with the camera/tripod, trying to 'Become One With My Surroundings', when after a long period trying to take a few pics, I pick up the thing and walk away. I turn around and there are 2 people, a guy and his girl, waiting there silently for me to finish. We are in the middle of the forest, and they must have been waiting at least 5 minutes. They look bored and pissed, and they're standing far apart from eachother, like they're not sure how to deal with the freak they stumbled upon taking pictures, they're gonna come up on him from 2 different angles in case he goes nuts or something. Guys say casually, "Yeah, I thought you had this rare species in focus or something...", the girl walks by looking square at the ground without saying a word. They WERE pretty quiet back there.

I love the second to the last one.... I'm so jealous of all of you that get to see changing leaves....

Thanks for the kind words all.
I was born/raised in Michigan, but I lived in Florida for a few years, where it was always sunny, always looked the same. I missed the different seasons.
