Personally, I think all of those are great shots. I especially like the one looking at the scenery over the guard-rail. All the rest have great subject matter though.
This is one of the best random picture threads yet IMO. :D |
A bunch of very interesting random photos. I enjoyed looking at them. Thanks for sharing.
|
yea man great shots...the first one is really fun to look at for some reason, i guess the action. The cat one is blurry, but blunt and i like that.
the sunset would be striking with a level horizon, which is easy to correct. i love the guardrail one too |
Those clouds in the sunset look like they're on fire! The one with the clouds and a leafless tree on the right shows a really cool contrast.
|
Great shots, I especially like #2 and #5. What exactly is 2 a picture of though?
|
Thanks for the nice comments guys.
Yeah i realised i could straighten up the horizon, and i probably should have taken the photo of the guitarist a few steps back to get in his feet and the top of the head and dummy head :) but oh well c'est la vie the sunset which looks like its on fire was really amazing to see, and im glad the photo turned out ok, another one of the same sunset had a pylon in it oops. |
really cool pics.. i really like the one of the sunset... almost looks like a volcano...
and the one over the guardrail is way cool too... would i be correct in guessing that the edge of the car in the first one is a 92 or 93 ford explorer?.... looks a lot like my explorer... |
Very unusual, experimental-looking pics!
I really like the first one, the one with the sunset, the red swirly things, the guard rail, and the mushroom fritata. Oh heck, I like em all, but those just really stand out. Now get out there and bring back more :D |
I love them All! I love the details and the "moment" of things. My fave would have to be the peekaboo tomato and the ice..Oh ! and first shot of the car and guard rail. Well, I can have a few faves!
|
Some AMAZING shots there. That sunset one is absolutly amazing. One of the coolest sunsets i've ever seen...unless it really IS fire!
The one right after it (the light trail one) is neat too. I've done that before with my camera. |
Nice pics!
|
the lighting in the kitchen pic is awesome. very well done.
abel. |
real nice pics. thanks for sharing those. :)

fun shots.....
only critique I have (which I reluctantly give after getting ganged up on last time) is the tomato one. I got a critique from a professional photographer....that its kind of a reverse portrait and it really does nothing to flatter the subject because it is so obscured and so many things distract it, you cannot even get PAST the obscurity in these types of shots....because you definitely can get past obscure or abstract shots to get to the main subject... I must say I love the book one though.....great feel to the picture |
imo the one of the church is the best. reminds me what i think of when i think of a church, if that makes any sence.
What camera do you have, the macro shot of the tomato is pretty close, and I'm guessing it's a digital camera. the second sunset is awesome |
Yeah i know the tomatoe one is a bit strange but after i took it i thought it looked quite strange the way the tomatoe was focused and around it was not. So yeah i do understand what youre saying (no ganging up against you ; )
The book one was quite by accident actually, i was just messing about during a power cut. The camera is a (now old) Digital Ixus 330 which still does the job, but theres better versions of it out now. |
Nicely done man. I'm lovin the gaurd-rail pic and the guitar guy. The guitar guy would make a great album cover. :)
I don't know if there's anything that can even be done about this (I'm a photo noob) but the cookbook shot would be excellent if the text wasn't fuzzy. Perhaps in RL it's not? Could just be my crappy monitor. Anywho. Again, great stuff dude. |
Great shots, thanks for sharing!
|
Very nice pics, the cat with the mouse in it's mouth is especially interesting to me. Mice are quick but cats can be even quicker when they have their sights on something...
Well done! |
wow... i am very impressed.. These are some awesome random photos. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. As far as my favourites. Hmm, I really like the ice, but the others are no less magnificent, i am just partial to blues*grin*
|
nice work... big fan of the tomato
|
Awesome pics! I like the fiery sunset :D
|
The cat was awesome, even ol' kitty looks grossed out by having a critter in his mouth. Check the eyes for why I think that! Just has that look of "ewww...."
|
thanks people :) thought i would post a stitch photo i did of where i go on holiday in scotland. Its normally raining and the photo is quite a lot of water but its pretty nice :) the place on the right is skye and them thar waters are fun for fishing in :D
apologies for the size, I should probably resize it i guess :( http://www.houstonia.co.uk/tfp/stitch1.jpg |

never been to scotland properly ... done a bit round Edinburgh but none of the proper hills or lochs ... looks way cool |
