And he is plotting revenge.

that is a very sweet horse.

gender?

....and is he yours?

ARTelevision 06-22-2004 08:21 PM

The light is so unnatural - the horse is so natural - cool contrast.

Beautiful horse :D

Peetster 06-23-2004 03:22 AM

The flash really messed with his pupil, it looks almost metallic.

Force 10 06-23-2004 04:26 AM

He's a gelding who belongs to a friend of mine. He's happy to live in the Hudson valley on about 60 acres.

I don't have any horses at the moment. Haven't had horses for about 8 years now. I'll be moving to Texas in a few months and after my baby girl squeezes out of momma and is acclimated to this world, we'll get her a horse.

I can't imagine a childhood without horses and farm animals. I will make that happen for my children as well.

SixEdxMia 06-23-2004 04:55 AM

He's beautiful. :) Great picture.

amonkie 06-23-2004 08:06 AM

That is such a beautiful horse, his ears are so alert and he reminds me of one of my grandma's horses. Thanks for sharing!

When I first glanced at the picture, for a second my brain thought it was a framed horse head hanging on a wall.... then I picked up on the rest of the body being there. Very surreal, when you look at it from that perspective. It's almost liking it is a painting of a horse and the head comes out and comes to life.

/promises he's not on controlled (or uncontrolled) substances

jRuntlets 06-24-2004 08:25 PM

Yay pony! I like that one.

I also like the sawdust in the ear. My gelding has a tendency to use his poop as a pillow - so he typically has poop in his ears instead of sawdust.

Hmm.

Tad bit overexposed, but frankly I'm suprised how well the flash actually worked.

Would have been much more powerful picture if you just had taken it directly from the front, composing so that the window makes a classical frame encompassing the horses front part. Make also sure that both, the horse and the frame is in perfect focus.

Force 10 06-25-2004 06:08 AM

I agree Sty. I tried that actually but the drink and darkness were too overpowering! ;-)

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Force 10 06-25-2004 10:48 AM

I could and I will the next time I'm in the Hudson Valley ;-)

bernadette 06-26-2004 08:18 AM

nice shot, ruprex. wish i had a horse...

the horse kinda has that whoa-who-turned-on-the-lights-? look. :)

Force 10 06-26-2004 08:26 AM

Thanks Bern, I wish you had a horse, too.. great fun and lots of love.

splck 06-26-2004 01:32 PM
