Wow nice pics. That Mercedes pic looks as if it were out of a Mercedes brochure

I am using an olympus camedia c700
I took the island pic on a flight to tokyo last summer. I think
its just off the coast of japan.

I assume its a b&w pic that you edited the color into?
Sure adds a lot of feeling to the picture.
Not to mention the dramatic celestial light.

The San Juan Islands tend to make for some lovely photo opportunities. Here's a nice farm outside of Friday Harbor.

Hey nosuchuserexist: what is that last shot of? Film? Digital? Very nice stuff.

That is a shot of the Space Needle reflected in one of the surfaces of the EMP shot on Fuji Velvia 100 and then scanned with a CoolScan IV ED. Anybody else got any questions?

The Fuji Velvia: I just got a roll if it from a friend for Christmas so can't wait to get out and give it a try. Beautiful color saturation.

Heh...but seriously, would do you explain this to someone without cones...or is it rods? I can never remember which sees color.

Its cones. There are something like 120 Million rods in one eye, and only 6 to 7 million cones.

By the way, the Velvia: yeah, I really need to thank that guy for getting me back into photography. He gave me some Velvia, Some Ilford Delta for my Holga, and a few others. He's a pretty cool dude. I'm really enjoying getting back at it.
