I love trees that look like that. Up by my parents' place, there is a bit of that. Not so much around here, though. Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Nice photos, I really like the black and white effect. We have ice storms here in the Pacific NW at least once a year, although walking around large trees can be dangerous, it is still a breathtaking and somewhat eerie feeling.

I'll agree with the autolevels on the closeup as it enhances the contrast. In fact I generally look at autolevels etc in photoshop before printing or posting but forgot this time.
I'm not convinced about the wide shot though. It looks a little harsh to my eyes, maybe somwehere between the original and yours would be good. Thanks for the comments |

So you thought I did that to display my photoshop "skills"? If my effort to help isn't appreciated, I'd like to hear it from dogzilla himself. Anyone attending a photography forum of any sort knows that autolevels does not require any skills at all. I saw the picture, liked it, thought it might auto-levels (fully automatic feature in photoshop), applied it and when I had already done I thought that I could share it with the rest of you instead of asking the author to exactly the same thing himself. Why the hell should we reply to a thread at all if we've got nothing to say beside "great photo". By giving pointers and my personal opinion to dogzilla I hope that he'll do the same to me, so that I'll evolve as a photographer. Is this a photography forum or is it just another place to show off our pictures? |
