Hopefully I'll make it out there someday. I have not found anything comparable here in the mid-Atlantic.

Where is Point Reyes? Looks like a great place to take sunset photos, too. Thanks for sharing.
Here's a shot I took when I was on the Big Island of Hawaii at a beach you can only reach by either taking a 5 mile hike or having a 4WD.

Point Reyes and Muir Woods and you're from New York? You sure chose some good locations to drive while away from home! Man I miss my California coast! (abroad in london...)

I made it only as far north as Stinson beach this time out. It the last day of vacation and by the time we got to the beach it was late afternoon and only time to walk on the beach for a while then head back to the hotel.
I've been to California somthing like 10 times over the last 25 years, some business, some vacation. The California coast is one of my favorite places, and I've driven the coast highway from LA to a little north of San Francisco over various trips. My favorite place in California is Yosemite, then San Diego and then sightseeing along the coast. I lived in Santa Monica for 4 months and spent about 2 months in San Diego on business trips. |
