Took some pics in the woods today.
There is a nice state park near my house. We haven't taken advantage of it like we should, but I took the beast out there yesterday and today and got some good shots. :)
This was yesterday. See my pup in the bottom right of the first pic? Now look just above and left center in the pic. http://lstwo.com/images/22930184484621191712.jpg Here is a better view. http://lstwo.com/images/60856536569264121541.jpg She let him get about half that far away before she took off. Here is another doe that was watching him. She was pretty good sized. http://lstwo.com/images/16189726319607960817.jpg And a few other random pics I snapped while we were out there. http://lstwo.com/images/13074143911101597638.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/69688367917500921476.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/63993573200606848297.jpg This is his "Where's Waldo?" impression. :D http://lstwo.com/images/43824001684259763068.jpg Last night and today we got some snow, so I took him back out today and got more pics. http://lstwo.com/images/23803286487867206121.jpg Doing his 'Scarface' impression. :D http://lstwo.com/images/21693193650660634315.jpg He absolutely loves sticks, they are his next favorite thing to food and treats. :o http://lstwo.com/images/95722029629220519009.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/58124739353708530828.jpg Look closely at the background: http://lstwo.com/images/35773526717469326542.jpg Hai guise. :o http://lstwo.com/images/36540623644350162228.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/12811354819948394776.jpg Also, while I'm spamming the board with him, here are some YT videos I took yesterday. :o ---------- Post added at 08:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:07 PM ---------- Err, sorry about that, my pic host usually automatically resizes pics down to a reasonable manner. Let me see if I can fix it. |
Awww, Stanley.

That's some pup! :D

some nice shots. did he even get close to them while chasing them?
|
I absolutely love coloring of the nature in winter. It is so scarce. Your dog blends in very well. :P

Here are a few more I grabbed today. This guy watched us for a good 4-5 minutes. My dog didn't even realize he was there, and played like a goofball oblivious to the deer 80 yards away. The buck was intent on Stanley, and when Stanley finally wandered close enough, all three took off for 100 yards or so.
Regardless, it was fun and beautiful to watch them. :) http://lstwo.com/images/12395109442611476330.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/42185966366663671023.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/88963836330185604651.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/75752732842464984636.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/53460519427055040953.jpg |
pretty cool that they will allow you to get so close
nice looking buck |
Handsome young buck and doe.
Good pics |
Thanks guys. :)
Here are a few more from tonight. You can only see about 30-40% of the herd that was in that yard in these pics. They were scattered everywhere, and there were quite a few further over that rise. By the time I got to where I could see them, they had taken off for the treeline on the right. http://lstwo.com/images/10975634980924912320.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/30171706917275222983.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/04571497171017783535.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/76438944111042358572.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/75960460115982651912.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/86212544383477197823.jpg http://lstwo.com/images/56770958648645645008.jpg At the exit to the park is a subdivision, and these three does were right in someone's front yard. If you look closely in the background, you can see the shapes of many more deer in the backyard of the house. I simply cannot believe home many deer were back there behind this house, and the next 9-10 houses down the road. It looked like a livestock farm, I bet there were close to 70 deer altogether, it seemed like each house had almost a dozen. |
Coolest dog ever. Mastiff?

He's a Bullmastiff. :) |
Cool. I love Mastiff's... their personalities, their mannerisms. I have a four year old English Mastiff (we think, he's a rescue, so his exact breeding is sketchy). He looks very similar to yours.
