Pets
So the thread on people portraits got me thinking. As I searched for pictures of humans I found many thoughtful and expressive photos of my pets. So I figured I'd share them.
Let's find or take pictures of our favorite furry buddies. Being goofy, being thoughtful, expressing something about them you love, and then maybe put an explianation if you have one. That's Tom. My grandfather runs a ranch, and Tom is his barn cat. Except, he runs along side the 4-wheeler with my granpa's border collie and helps herd cows every summer. He was near the end of his life in this photo, he stopped running as he got older and started sitting on the back of the 4 Wheeler instead. But he never gave up. He was amazing. This is Mediea. She was fairly young when this picture was taken, as I'm sure you can tell. I liked this shot because it showed her curious and mischevious nature. My aunt breeds border collies and this was my favorite puppy of that litter. He was so calm and gentle. He would just come over, sit on my lap, rest his head against my chest, and hang out. Very mellow, very calm. I named him Kayden. This is my favorite. This is my dog Duke. We've had him for about 10 years now. Hes getting fairly old, and looks grey-er everytime I go home. This was taken when I still lived with my parents, and as you can tell by all the hair on the sheets, that was HIS SIDE of the bed. I love this photo becuase it feels to me like it shows HIM. He's got his eyes closed as if he's settling in after a long day. Hes calm, silent, like a gentle old man. |
