Hanna Park -- The Tree
A few months ago, the last time we were at Hanna Park in Atlantic Beach, my now-ex showed me this enormous tree I'd never come across before. The park is on an island so I really wasn't expecting this ancient, enormous thing with a well-worn mountain bike path beneath it. I wish the camera could have captured it better. He loves this tree and so do I. I went back yesterday to explore a little further before getting going. If the mosquitos hadn't been so viscious (you should see my face and arms) I would have stuck around longer.

It even smells old back in there. I was so bright and blue skied outside the forested area... and so dark inside.

and of course, this is NOT the spider that refused to leave my face, but a little one I passed on the way to put the camera back so I could start my run through the trails. 90 minutes later I was hot, sticky, (not sunburned, cromps) and wickedly tired. Awesome afternoon.
