photos Around the Yard

I've been reading a couple of books lately (The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby and Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson) so I had to take some pictures, of course. Let me know what you think!

I was just about to let out an expletive, but I caught my wayward mind before that came to terms, and now I'm thinking, "Wow! That's the happiest dog I've ever seen in my life!"

Additional (tangential) commentary:

It's a wonder I don't have you as a contact, fiatguy, or at least a fav picture of yours, because the shots displayed within your photostream are outstanding.

I love race day events, and even moreso spectacular captures of the atmosphere provided that day, those in which especially that tell as much a story of the track happenings as a televised broadcast or subsequent recapitulated article of the race results. It's awesome.

Love the bunny. Definitely my fave. Great, great shot.
Cocker spaniels are the best dogs. I like what you did. Snoopy's face...perfect.
Nice photo of the stamens. But something bothers me about the photo. Not sure what, but maybe that's good.

Love the animal shots - that dog either loves the camera or had you confused for one big treat. The minimal depth in the first shot is a nice touch but the dog shot is great. Nice.

Count me in as another fan of fiat's racing shots.

Thanks people.

Jetée thank you, I should probably share some racing shots here too since I haven't done much of that here. If I'm not one of your Flickr contacts, please add me by all means.

Grancey, I think I understand what you're saying about the flower and maybe it's because there's still too much clutter around it that's discernible?

I think it's the faded bloom coming out of the petal on the left, and the yellow color to the right of the daylilly. I really like faded blooms, but this one seems to float out of nowhere. And the yellow, I'm just not sure what it is. Another bloom? Everything else is great. But this is just my daylilly-loving opinion.

Thanks Grancey. This is probably one of the first flower shots I've taken and it's helpful to know what to pay attention to.
