that's cool.. are the glass panels static or do they move?
|
im not dealing with the envelope really. i deal with the interior fitouts.
But from what ive heard, they are supposed to move and change colours. im waiting for the day they release the water from the dam! would love to capture pics of that moment. should be in another month or two. |
wow that's pretty amazing! I'd love to see more as it comes along.
|
here is the job as it comes along. the race takes place on Novermber 1, but we have to be done in a months time. right now its all systems go in order to meet the deadline. we're currently working around the clock to get the interiors done

Man, good job, and right cool. I hope to see it one day in completed and racing form. (The only Grand Prix I get to witness on th regular anymore is the one in St. Pete, which is Indy Car/American Le Mans Series, and a long time ago, the circuits in Jerez and Barcelona.) |
Hey cool! I love seeing the new projects going down in the UAE.
|
so the project has REALLY kicked along now compared to 6-7 weeks ago. the F1 race will beon Novermber 1. we already have handed over a few areas, and will be handing everything over in a month or so.
yesterday, the glazing on the envelope was being tested at night. from what i heard, its going to be one spectacular building. the glazing does indeed change colours, so i cant wait to take some snapshots soon! the race track is almost complete and this are coming together quite nicely, though its one big RUSH! here's how the job is going! http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7495.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7505.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7511.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7506.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7530.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7531.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7534.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7536.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7537.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7551.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7557.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_7559.jpg |

|
Ahhh...the F1 race. We lost ours here in Canada. (Montreal) The streets of old Montreal can't compete with something as awesome and crowd friendly as what you're showing us here. Amazing project you're working on!
|
with only a week to go before the big race, there been a huge push to complete the hotel. the city is buzzing with news about the race on the 1st November.
here is an update onsite.. we're pretty much finished our works internally with the exception of minor snags. yesterday was our last day onsite before security locks the place down before the race. http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8635.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8651.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8572.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8573.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8576.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8577.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8578.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8580.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8581.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8584.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8593.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8594.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8595.jpg http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_8597.jpg |
that's cool!
|
So awesome. I saw a thing on TLC about this. "Build it Bigger". Very very cool.
|
Yea thats looking pretty spiffy!
Just a few more days! |
Holy crap ,it's awesome.
|
thanks guys..unfortunately i didnt go to the F1 race. it was wayyyy overpriced for my liking, but many of my work collegues went.
it is a pretty nifty building. builders, engineers and construction professionals alike always remember the buildings they worked on with fondness regardless of how much trouble they went through to get the job done. this wasnt the most enjoyable job ive been on, but i still feel a sense of accomplishment after all the hard work is done. i decided to climb another mountain that weekend...i prefer the peace and serenity of nothingness rather than the zipping sounds of engines. |
