as a lighting instructor in Atlanta, I like to test out lighting setups to teach in class.

This is a four light setup shooting figure with the lovely model Lindsey.

Opinions always welcomed.

Is this particular lighting technique demonstrated in class, or do you opt for the object to be something more portable, like a vase?

I like it regardless, but I wonder if only adults are your students.

It's a matter of marketing and economics

Use 4 lights to teach a 15 year old for $25, or use 4 lights and teach a 25 year old for $150

I teach people if they ask, but when booking a class those numbers matter.

My lighting equipment? It's $4500. That's a lot of 15 years old.
